Hello Nooglers, is it possible to internally switch at Google from TSE (AI/ML) to core ML domain? If yes, how and how much time a person would require to work at TSE position? I received interview call for TSE position so I was wondering if this could be a possibility or not.

Im so embarrassed posting this, but I’m so confused. as 1 of 3 females in my office( yes I know that’s an issue in itself) I work with mostly 23 year old + males. There is one that has me so confused. He’s 26, I’m 29;if that matters. I’m an OM, so I indirectly work with everyone. But I don’t have any direct reports. So I guess my point is, how does one know, if a man is interested specifically a coworker. What are the tell alls, what’s just being friendly coworker vs possibly feeling the vibe.

Depending on level, you will be responsible for sourcing, analyzing deals, managing FDD and other DD process, prepare models, and pitching investment thesis to board/PEG. If you get a lot of deal-flow from buy/sell-side brokers you will do less direct sourcing efforts. I made the jump and really enjoyed it. However, a lot is out of your control when you don't control the pocketbook... Also, the trajectory is fairly limited to becoming a VP and although pay is good (decent salary, good bonus, and equity) you somewhat top out unless you move to a large public company.
