Required or not, would be foolish to not get tested

YES!! The military stands outside arrivals and makes sure, at least at JFK! You face a penalty or fine otherwise

At least as of 6 days ago

Travel through Mexico and then it’s not

The military stands outside arrivals but that doesn’t mean you need a test. You need to fill a NY health form and they will tell you what actions you need to take before and after. Officers will ask you for that form and check.

Any way, it would be wise to get tested before and 3-4 days after

A question on the form is did you get tested within the last 72h and it says right below it that if you didn’t there’s potentially a penalty

Brah, just fly to NJ (EWR Airport) and catch the NJ transit to the city. No one is waiting for you outside customs.

Arguably easier to get to the city via NJ transit than flying into JFK too

Staying at the Ritz Carlton - Dove Mountain, AZ for a long weekend. Before coming, I called and asked what the COVID restrictions were, I was given vague information and once I arrived realized that the restrictions were more stringent than described, and the only restaurant open for dinner service on hotel property is a mile away, near the golf course. When asking the hotel how we are supposed to get there for dinner, they told us that we would have to walk as they are understaffed....

My 4 YO takes riding lessons at a small barn outside of the city. I hopped on a horse there recently for old time's sake, but haven't really ridden in years. A casualty of the legal profession, along with the rest of my hobbies from my former country life. His instructor asked me if I'd be willing to get back in the saddle. Part of me is like, this is the change I need. It will help me lose this COVID-15lbs. But I'm also terrified and I have no idea why. (cont)

My SO got a great job offer in Bangkok and we need to decide soon. I’ve always been very independent and never followed a partner to another city or country. Will it be bad for my career to join him even while there is a little change I can find a job in Bangkok? Not sure what to do right now. Due to covid I recently got laid off and am already not in my home country but have lived here over 7 years. Any advice? Me following him or we both try to find another job in the country we are in now.

Consulting during corona - I’m interesting in switching to consulting and interviewed with a few firms (pre-COVID) and got an offer plus a few offers put on pause. It would be helpful to get clarity on what the industry is like now and if anyone recommends still making the switch or staying put (especially interested in Deloitte, Accenture, PWC, EY human capital practices)

Hi Fishes, I got a call from a TCS manager last week and he interviewed me saying he received my CV from an external source. He shared his tcs email id, asked me to make minor modifications in the CV and then there will be a client interview. He said he will get back to me. I reached out to him 2 days later and he informed they were evaluating my eligibility with TCS. It has been 4 days since that and I have not heard from them. What does this actually mean? TIA.
