Any advice on quitting working through a staffing firm? I love the gig I’m on and they have been good to me, but I’ve landed a gig directly through another agency and will be taking it. Don’t want to burn bridges. Also haven’t signed a contract w/new agency yet.

Working at a place that not only dictates hours but dictates lunch hours. Any other places do this? Seems kind of cray.

With more demand than supply of Freelancers and Staff, have you upped your rates? I feel like now is the time. I've had places offer me more than my normal to "steal me away" from my current gig, but I don't do it because I feel like that's not fair to place who already booked me. I potentially have a 4ish month contract starting soon and realized my friend’s out-of-town wedding falls in that timeframe. Would love to take a Friday and Monday off to attend, but wasn’t sure if freelancers get to request days off. I’m fine with not getting paid those days.
