Is Databricks worth learning? I would say I'm an intermediate and wanted to know where to go after learning Keras and TensorFlow. I haven't touched Hadoop or Spark either.

Spark it up however you can. Idk how Databricks curriculum is (or are you talking about their platform?), but these are two major resume filter buzzwords for recruiters

Start with the free stuff as an intro, use generic open source pyspark for a while. It's nice to have skills with a platform, but you'll find different stacks at different places anyway. I haven't seen Databricks, Cloudera, etc come up in job position listings that often

How to promote the automation culture and documentation culture? I find it hard to give boni for automations since
a) the amount of automations isn't the amount of saved time
b) the amount of saved time is hard to be tracked for a single automation

And how much everyone hates documentation is well known.

Does anyone know better metrics or good incentives?

I'm brand new to consulting and the data science space. After over a year of self-study I landed a role as a data analyst and just under 3 weeks in I feel like I totally suck at this and wonder how I got hired. Major imposter syndrome vibes.

So my question is, has anyone else been in a similar situation where they made the switch into a tech field and felt some major imposter syndrome initially and what were some things you did to combat that feeling?

Thanks in advance!

Currently a senior analyst and have been working in analytics for about 6 years. Struggling to get to the manager level, despite top performance reviews and managing direct reports in previous roles. Have moved around a bit (average length in role 1.5 years) which undoubtedly has been a factor. Any advice on how to get to the next level? It seems near impossible to make an external move to manager without a Manager title.

Are there any similar day-long or week-long internship programs for data/analytical consulting? Would love to test it out for a little bit to check out other firms

Has anyone created live dashboards via Data Studio instead of Tableau? Thoughts?

Really interested in ML Engineering/DS type work and considering an online MS in either CS or DS. Specifically online MSCS at GATech or UofI, or MIDS @ Berkeley. I have a non-CS engineering degree and ~3 YOE working in a data engineer type role. Should I go for a data science or computer science route?

Best way to pivot to Data Science? Literally asking for a friend.

At a high level would it be:

1. First learning data engineering skills (I've read that 50-70% of DS work is cleaning up shitty data)
2. Learning the programming languages to do the actual analysis (python/R)?
3. Presentation soft skills (story telling, data viz?)

How would you structure your "1-2-3," and please elaborate within your steps on which specific languages/tools to pick up
