Partner has equity stake and a CPA. Principal has equity stake, not a CPA. MD does not have an equity stake.
MD is a non-equity partner, Principal is an equity partner.
A1 sure, but my point is, the title Partner is generally given to non-equity partners, however oxymoronic it may sound. A title is not a legal term, it’s how you decide to present yourself to the world as a business. In the US at least it’s clear who is a Deloitte shareholder and who isn’t.

Why would you have a different title if it was the same? Ofcourse MD is not a partner. Anywhere in any partnership

D5, principal and partner are equivalent, just diff for the reasons you stated. There is no hostility. I'm not from Deloitte
Deloitte MD is same as partner at EY

MD is really well paid employee. They can also sign contracts on behalf of the company.

Exactly
No. P > MD. Not 100% true, but on average this is the case.
They are different roles, but essentially the same "rank". PPMD (partner, principal, managing director) fall into this bucket. Others might be able to be more specific, but there are nuances to each in terms compensation and overarching responsibility.

One has an equity stake and is a business owner. The other has a salary and is an employee.
