Is it worth leaving Deloitte for ACN or another non-MBB consultancy? Happy in consulting but worried about hitting a salary plateau since I’ve been with Deloitte for a long time
Are Tuck and Darden really much better for consulting than other schools? Yeah they have that rep but it seems they have more students recruit for MBB so overall success rate into these firms isn’t much higher than other schools.
Which schools does MBB mostly recruit from? I think Insead and northwestern are top 2 but where else? Insead also had like 650 in its last class so I guess you have to take that into consideration....
For experienced hires, how long do you typically have to respond to an MBB offer? When is the right time to ask to expedite and start an interview process if you have other MBB processes ongoing? (e.g., when you schedule a first round? Final round? Exploding offer?)
If you want to get into a top employer (industry leader, think FAANG, MBB, Goldman, etc), what is the lowest acceptable MBA program? Understand it depends by field but trying to narrow down schools.
I left bcg as a consultant as I did not like office ( outside the US). I went into Corp strategy where I have been for 1.5 yrs. Considering now if I should go back to consulting. Still would only go to MBB, probably Bain as I have connections there. What level should I target? Would senior engagement manager be realistic? Thinking that Maybe I would lose a year but do not want to go back as a consultant again...
Which consulting firms have the highest comp pre-partner?
I'd have guessed MBB, but recently saw smaller players like S&, AP, A&M come up in those discussions as well.
Can you trade options while working at MBB?
Currently at Deloitte and working on transitioning to MBB. What are some skills I’ll need to develop to be successful over there if I manage to get an offer?
How do you all think about allocating space to different work experiences in resume. 2 years at MBB post mba and 5 years in finance and tech prior to mba. I currently have 60-70% work experience section devoted to my work post MBA and the rest prior to MBA even. Does that seem reasonable? Just got into recruiting game and trying to understand best practices
Did 2 years at Deloitte S&O out of undergrad and now moving to MBB. How long do I need to wait until applying to MBA programs to get the bump associated with MBB? Or is this a stat dependent question?
Currently 2 years in at a T2 firm with 2 opportunities:
1) Switch to MM PE firm
2) Switch to MBB as analyst (unlikely to be able to switch to PE after)
What are the benefits and downsides of each?
How long at MBB before you can request for an MBA scholarship Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company
MBB folks - how is your enterprise architecture and IT strategy practice? I have a masters in enterprise architecture, however I am struggling to find anyone who can refer me at MBB firms.
This may be a dumb question, but do experienced hire interviews (both in consulting and for industry roles) typically have case interviews?
I got lucky not having to do anything more than situational interviews out of UG and curious if I should start casually studying up if I decide to go the non MBB route. TIA
I got the Emory MBA offer, is it good enough for MBB? Seems like I would only have a shot at Atlanta office and the program did not put many people in mbb and t2.
I haven’t even finished the final round with the company and they are asking my passport for visa purpose already…why do rush? (Not in the states) Also I am in the process with mbb.
Not seeing much correction this time...
Considering making the jump to freelance. would appreciate any book recco’s covering the logistics I’d need to know aside from actually doing the work - ie do i setup an LLC or not, invoicing etc.
I applied for a director role at well known tech company and within few days, got an email from recruiter. Call was setup in same week but I couldn’t make it for few diff reasons. Since that day
What are the best exit options to industry / tech / startup in Atlanta, coming from consulting?
My mom told me I look depressed today. Yes. I am. This has made me so anxious and depressed. No matter what I do to distract myself I can’t escape it. Worst part is I feel selfish for feeling this eay
Leaving law and buying a Business? I’ve been at this for about seven years now. I’ve moved positions three or four times, including clerking, small town practice, and regional mid-sized firms. My practice has been general with litigation emphasis. Looking to make an exit through buying a business. Not a passion project business, just good revenue with the option to put managers in place later on for the day to day. Buy free time and opportunity, basically. Anyone else do(ing) something similar?
New to all this... How does buying high end watches *work*?
If I have the cash can I go buy any watch I want, or do you have to establish a relationship somehow?
Should you expect to pay full retail at an authorized retailer, or is negotiation common and expected?
Do folks go to chain retailers or manufacturer stores, or is it better to go to find an independent shop—or, do people use “dealers” who don’t carry inventory but place the order from the manufacturer for you?
Just putting a feeler out, my lease is up in Harlem and I’m looking to move to Brooklyn (preferably Williamsburg).

Just got an interview with Amazon for a compliance manager position. Are any folks at Amazon able to provide insight into the types of situational questions that are asked in the interviews?
Those who transitioned from Android/Windows into all Mac was there anything you missed? I'm thinking about going all in since the M1 Chips came out
has anyone been asked to leave a firm and ended up bouncing back and loving the next job/firm they joined much more?
With Halloween coming up, how do you manage getting home early enough to take your kids trick or treating? I barely get home early enough to put my kids to bed. I get home at 7 usually and bedtime is 8
