The long term potential is there if sports betting is legalized in all the US states.

like

Michigan is about to activate legal online sports betting. NY is very likely as well which would be huge!

With the NBA starting up, then come Q1 2021 nfl playoffs, then baseball again so on..

I bought more today. Will definitely do well in the long term.

Dkng is my largest single holding but I wish I split it with Penn.
I think it’s a safe area to hold here but been frustrating for options seeing it there flat unlike penn.

Hopefully New York will announce soon when they’re legalizing online sports betting. Next quarter Virginia should be in operations and announce who the partners are for online betting next month.

They have great partnerships and once things get rolling with betting and fans can attend live sports they should be in a great position.

Would like some thoughts on a 2-br NYC condo my husband and I are considering. $250K HHI (no kids). No loans or debts, both have newish cars fully paid off.

Offer would be for $725K, with 10 percent down. 30yr mortgage @5%. We would need to include closing costs in the mortgage, to keep about $10k liquid. Monthly costs will be about $5k.

This unit is special, very rare (we’ve rented in the area for 10 yrs and know the local market well). Should we go for it?

Due to a family situation we are looking to move to a different state. Normally we would sell our current home and buy a new home in our new location. However, with todays prices and interest, will it make more sense to rent out our current home and rent a home ourselves vs. selling and buying immediately when we move? We are moving from Vegas to Sacramento and we are not sure how long we would stay in the new area. Thoughts?

Any tips/warnings/advice on potentially trying to move from Big 4 to either MBB or a T2 boutique firm? I’m anticipating reaching M1 in Big 4 within the next 12 months. I really like my current practice, but frankly as I eye comp across the bowl, I’m hungry for more elsewhere, even with the recent Big 4 bumps. I have 5 YOE (3 consulting, 2 industry) all within somewhat niche subject matter, as well as my MBA (non “prestigious” school however). Any thoughts or clarifying questions are welcome, TIA

I KNOW not to give my number first but I was so caught off guard by the question since it was our initial discussion that I just blurted out a range. HNY all! I have multiple rollover and traditional IRAs, as well as a solo 401k. But (since I started paying attention to this kind of thing) have always been over the income limit to start a Roth IRA. I’ve also not done much contributing in the last few years due to purchasing an apartment and saving for renovations. Cue pandemic joblessness... if married filing separately, would you say it’s a good idea to start a Roth while under the income limit, even in this climate? Any reason not to?
