Our best senior associate gave notice today. It was like a knife to the chest.

Yup. We are hemorrhaging associates and the work keeps growing, it’s not sustainable (even though it has been sustained for months now). Not even sure if we’ll get an August slow down.

Looking for advice/input:

I’ve dealt with ADHD my entire life, although was just diagnosed last year. Throughout my career (assurance>industry>consulting), I’ve been able to “outwork” everyone else in the office to counter the lack of focus and other associated faux pas associated with the disorder. Recently have hot a point where I can’t put in the hours (3 yo/fam), and my work has taken a major hit. Anyone in consulting/assurance have any methods for managing this when it comes to PM duties?

Advice to avoid ethics violations and unauthorized practice of law in the following scenario. I am licensed to practice in PA and live in PA. Recently accepted a 100% remote non-legal role for a national org based in CA but does business in all states. No lawyers in house. Recently, they casually asked me to review and suggest language in govt contracts. Should I tell them I can't or possible opportunity to renegotiate a legal role in house but with CA license?

Advice requested: When you were a legal intern or a summer, what type of projects did you like best? What was most helpful to you when you received a new assignment? Anything you wish your mentor did/didn’t do? I feel so far behind all of my non-lawyer friends. Everyone is getting married, having babies, and buying houses, and all I have is esq behind my name... I feel like my career is my marriage and my baby, and my student loans are my house payment... anyone else feel that way? Also, if anyone used to feel that way but dug themselves out of that whole, any advice?
