Last project weekend in Miami. Any F 🐠 interested in a road-trip to the Keys? (INFJ - 30 M - If that matters)
I'm close to burning out, but I've just been given a new massive project to staff and roll out in a very short timeframe. It's going to take a series of miracles to pull off and represents a significant increase in workload and responsibility. My team will expand 2-4x its current size. Any advice for how and when to approach adjustments to my comp and title? Do I wait until I've delivered success or should I be bringing this up now?
I have encountered a couple of racist clients this year. Is this because of remote work? The incidence of racial bias seems to be higher.
- How many hours/week do you work? - What size agency? - How many clients/project are you currently on?
I have 1 senior and 1 manager that I can asks questions for my returns. I myself am a new senior at my firm. They are incredibly helpful but SO busy. Every time I ask them if they can connect on some questions they take forever to respond and I end up getting stuck. My question is do most of you bill that time you’re waiting to the client? I move on if they take too long but sometimes moving on too quickly can be annoying as it seems they respond as soon as I move on and have to switch gears
Hey freelance designers! What would you charge for a logo and simple brand identity (color palette, typefaces, etc.) for an app? Also, if you’re interested in a fun side project that pays - DM me!
I sometimes feel so overwhelmed my the work that I have that I cry and am overly stressed. It’s become a once a week thing at least. I dislike my project and just don’t care anymore. Does anyone have advice on how I can make it through the finish line (got a month left)? Are others feeling this tapped out?
In-house fish need your advice: Was hired ~ 10 months ago to lead a 4 year web project. After months of planning and politics, project was canceled due to funding and scope. (Cont.)
Hello, is anyone looking for a fulltime Marketing role within Cyber? We are working with a client now that has multiple opportunities in their marketing department. They are midsized, have a good reputation, and are looking for people on the East Coast/EST.
What do you do when a junior flat out refuses to do work? Tried to staff a junior who told me she was at capacity…everyone is busy and she’s billing at 45-50 hrs a week while others bill 50-60. The staffing coordinator was the one who told me she’s available.
This might be a repeat post. I have a job offers from TCS and EPAM Anywhere. EPAM has agreed to pay the CTC in full (no fixed and project allowance). Salary package wise, EPAM beats TCS by 10 LPA, apart from the full time remote facility. What would be the reason(s) for me that would compel me to take up TCS ?
One of the less tangible things that a great agency producer does is manage to keep our vendor partners motivated to deliver good work in the face of an ungrateful client / agency.
Hi Fishes 20th april I joined in Wipro but I didn’t get any project . Now I am in bench. Everyday I am getting mail that you are not in billable assignment since 20/4/2022 . Wrongly join wrong company. Need to leave Wipro otherwise it is very difficult to survive in this company. Sugar , Blood pressure it is increasing day by day. Maybe I will not able to survive more than 2 months. Night time yamraj also coming in my dream 😴
We've had some hard times with a difficult client but we've worked hard to build a relationship. Now we're in such a good groove, getting good work through. HAPPY FUCKING MONDAY!
I am a newly promoted tax manager and just got put on a new engagement (new client). The partner who also happens to be my counselor personally reached out to me for the opportunity to lead. I have been a high performer as a staff and a senior but I am nervous about leading the team (no SM). Have a client call scheduled and I am worried I will mess up, look stupid, disappoint everyone and etc. Any advice is appreciated.
I officially think I’m done with production. Quite honestly, I never really liked it. I got into the biz after it’s golden age (as my mentors have described it) and it’s only been a stressful experience. I don’t mind the post part of it but this COVID experience has truly exposed to me that I do not get any enjoyment out of planning a shoot or trouble-shooting the day to day problems. It’s liberating to tell the truth. Now, what can I do next? I have about 5 years of production experience.
Our in-house creative team got our hands slapped for not inviting more members of the marketing team to a creative presentation. The creative needed quick approval to be executed properly within a tight timeline and the members of the marketing team who were not invited did not have a specific role/task on the creative project. Why does it seem like the creative team always has to do a full on talent show every presentation but no other arm of the marketing team does? Thoughts?

Is it ok to get personal in salary negotiations? For example, let the recruiter know that I’m a single parent supporting three young kids and two retired parents and I really need more money.
Hello 🐟, so what’s the final verdict on a good sit/stand desk and an ergonomic chair? Started developing a backache and think I need to change my WFH setup. Thanks in advance.
Can I just lie in bed and do nothing? Traveling really makes my Thursday seem like a Friday and I don't want to do anything on Friday.
I think I've hit the threshold where the number of foursquare checkins I have at airports went from being cool to depressing.
I have a low GPA (3.65) @ state school, & am looking to go to B school. I know there are infinite other factors but what are people's admissions experience w/ low GPA & MBB on their resume?

Don't know my drivers license number.. But can recite my united frequent flyer number in my sleep.
Hope you have a great New Year!
Why do recruiters string candidates along? Tell me I didn’t get the job so I can mentally move on, or at least subtly hint at potential good news. I honestly just don’t get it.
Why does BCG require a cover letter and SAT scores for experienced hires?! 🤨 Didn’t cover letters die with Blockbuster?
new to travel and just read an article that said to not eat right before or during flight since your bodys digestion basically shuts down at that altitude. Is this true/ a known thing to people (cont)
Firm will sponsor my MBA, but is it worth going? Two years of lost earnings and no additional gain in promotion trajectory. I know an MBA can be a good two year vacation, but I’m not sure if there’s much more value besides that. 🐠 who did / didn’t take the MBA sponsorship, what was your rationale?
