If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Risk Assurance does the same exact shit as risk advisory at EY. It's just a naming convention.
No. It's better!
Risk assurance falls under assurance overall and you are stuck with external audits and soc reports or how pwc puts it. Transparency and trust.
It risk advisory is a) under advisory so you earn more and b) it's bigger so you hsve flexibility to do IT internal audit, cyber , it risk management, vendor management etc. You can then leverage to transfer to other practices as well
@EY1 All those things you named in B also fall under the PwC Risk Assurance umbrella. I agree being in advisory group is better, but external audits and social reports aren't the only thing Risk Assurance does.
Risk Assurance gets paid more than Core Assurance and on par with EY's IT Risk Advisory group. Risk Assurance does all the same things as EY but we have some overlap with groups in our Advisory practice as well. IA, integrated audits, and SOC reports are the most prominent areas of Risk Assurance, but it's the same at EY. All of those are recurring projects which means more money for the firm.
Coming from pwc RA, and also having common sense, all of this debate is relative to your market and it's leadership team. Services are the same at EY as they are at pwc, as they are at Deloitte.
Yes
Funny you ask..I had the same exact question!
@EY 1 how is it better? I am just curious work wise
Also, though even ppl doing PI wirk use differe bt words on assessment of processes aka audit, you can go away with advisor or consultant word to get an out.
SOC reports, not social reports!
What does PI stand for?
EY1 that's true at PwC also.
Well that is what I was told by number of my peers in risk assurance. Once they get in a field, there was no going back
@EY 1 thought you would come up with something good...whatever your peers told you seems to be not true and well Risk Assurance in PwC seems to be the same thing as Risk Advisory in EY
