what age you reached 100k ,200k, 300k base
Tech DD > ITDD > FDD. ITDD and FDD are generally pretty commoditized. The upside of the ITDD service offering is at least the resources need a fair amount of technical skills. Typically a smaller team as well. I would say the compensation arc for a West Monroe resource is prob steeper than someone doing FDD at EY.
Tech DD is a more strategic offering than can run up to $200k+ for a 2-3 week engagement. Especially on the sell-side (can be $300k+)
Thanks for the insight! Is there much of a difference between Tech DD and IT DD? It seems like the two would be complimentary. Most roles seem to be a hybrid of IT DD with a strategy focus for certain parts of the deal lifecycle.
What is it that you plan on doing long term? Like is your question posing staying in either track for the rest of your career? Or are you planning to use either as a stepping stone (like FDD to IB)?
Also, are you a CPA? Or on track to be one? Or have other relevant certifications?
And, looking at the companies you tagged, of course it’s not like you can compare B4 FDD to anything at MBB, it’s just not remotely apples to apples
Thanks for the insight, this really helps! New to the industry so just trying to learn the ins and outs.
Lucrative? Probably pretty similar. FDD maybe a bit more? Pretty much every deal has a QoE / tax DD of some sorts whereas not every buyer will outsource ITDD. Would be very different experiences so it will really depends on where you want to end up long term
