All retail banking roles will be eliminated in the next 20 years, only high net worth individuals will continue to rely on human investment advisors.

As long as it’s not the basic lowest tier retail it should be fine

I am guessing you mean institutional equity sales? It comes down to which asset class you are most interested in. But ultimately, it’s mastering the art of sales. That skill will be valuable and interchangeable down the road.

Intellectually, it’s probably less challenging than derivatives/structured products, fixed income, and fx/commodities sales.

Job won’t exist in 20 years is my guess

Accenture AI, Big 4, and MBB which one is the best consulting company for Data Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer role? Thanks.

What budgeting / expense tracking tools do you use? Have been on Quicken for a while but want to explore others, esp cloud-based. TIA.

Exit opportunity suggestions for a tax manager? I currently earn $100K, but specialize in small to medium sized businesses in a smaller metro area. With zero experience in audit/internal control/GAAP/SEC/SOX/finance, I don’t see how I could possibly land a six figure position in industry (even remote positions from metros that pay more). With my health off the rails after nearly a decade in public accounting, I’m honestly starting to look even at positions in the $70s. Suggestions welcome.

As a male mid-level/senior associate, can you take the full parental leave (10-14 weeks) and come out without impact on partnership prospects? What are questions I should be asking to get at this issue before accepting a lateral offer? Quiz recent junior partners with kids? Seems a bit aggressive but may be necessary.

Would you leave before senior 1 busy season for 90k in salary and 9-5 hours in a consulting role? I am at 65k currently.

Dear MBB fishes, requesting your immediate guidance on data engineering practice. I currently have to pick one between FAANG vs MBB. Same base but 25K RSU difference. Please help me with your insights! Moving from industry in Midwest region.

Just want to say "thank you" to Delta for upgrading my whole family to 1st on an international trip. Spouse and child have never been in first.

What are you guys having more success with these days during remote work - hourly, day, weekly or project rates? I find myself billing less than 30 hrs a week but then working a lot - taking new biz calls, admin, switching back and forth btw clients, etc. Anyone else going through this?

Do those from MBB and BB banks have best shot at B School? I rarely hear about T2s and Big 4 getting into m7

Human Capital Consultant up for promotion. Call with an Accenture recruiter tomorrow. On a digital enablement project with no SM and supervising others. How do I position? And at what level?

What’s the quickest turnaround time for an offer you’ve ever had for an associate level role?

How does somebody end up as an expert on expert networks? Sounds like a great exit option as you approaches retirement.

On a call with a partner helping a F500 and he’s talking about ways to chop benefits costs and shift employees to cheaper healthcare plans that cover less and how to spin it as a good thing. Even made

Thoughts on Gartner? Specifically their marketing areas under strategy/ops. I saw some comments around layoffs/halting 401k matching from a few weeks back but curious about that department

Have an offer on the table at a startup that’s $35K more than current big 4 salary for a Senior Manager role. Benefits package is very comparable (401k match, healthcare costs, fringe stipends for WFH). Startup has been around for 5+ years and has secured a solid, 9 figures of investor dollars. Is it worth the move and having to leave my extremely secure “network” and role at a Big 4?

How does your required training compared to that of academic teachers for certification to be in the classroom? Do you feel it is adequate and/or appropriate?
