All retail banking roles will be eliminated in the next 20 years, only high net worth individuals will continue to rely on human investment advisors.

As long as it’s not the basic lowest tier retail it should be fine

I am guessing you mean institutional equity sales? It comes down to which asset class you are most interested in. But ultimately, it’s mastering the art of sales. That skill will be valuable and interchangeable down the road.

Intellectually, it’s probably less challenging than derivatives/structured products, fixed income, and fx/commodities sales.

Job won’t exist in 20 years is my guess

I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!

Thoughts on Deloitte getting rid of diversity groups...it seems unnecessary to me. IMO Including white males in the discussion can be accomplished without disbanding groups.

Are there any recommended resources for learning about various neighborhoods (with the intention being to find a new home). I’d like to create a shortlist of places to visit in person.

Do you think post-covid that companies will ever keep their tech employees in NYC? I’m a software engineer for a financial company and already am probably one of the last people to RTO if/when that happens. But now I’m thinking that this situation has proven that they don’t need to take on the costs of having SWEs in a HCOL city if all of us can WFH/work from a LCOL city with same results. Kinda bummed bc I’m a new hire and I never even got to move there... should I lower my expectations?

I've been required to work from the office, but it adds 3 hours of commuting each day and I feel way more exhausted at work. Can I speak to my boss about getting a special privilege to continue to work from home?

Started a new remote entry level job with very minimal training. I am fresh out of school and thinking what is the best way for me to learn my role, duties, and tasks with no training and being remote. How will I succeed if in order to do the job I need to be trained.

Would love your thoughts on an offer - $140k cash and $20k equity at Series B for Strategy role. Current 3rd year at MBB making $200k, and really don’t mind my WLB. Would you take the offer?

If you were offered 50% of your compensation and full benefits to take a 6-12 month ‘break’ from your job would you take it? Because that may be coming to you very soon.

I have an offer at another consulting firm, but have been reached out by my target industry exit opp for a role with comparable salary + more benefits. Problem is role doesn’t post until Sunday, but they are looking to expedite my interview and start date is Nov 1. Is it reasonable to defer the existing offer for two week or more? I really want to give this industry role a shot but also not lose out on the offer at hand if things don’t pan out next two weeks. Any advice on how to message?

Anyone else concerned about the long term negative effects of working remotely? Seems to be a minority viewpoint, but I question whether this is sustainable post-Covid for personal, psychological, and profession-specific reasons.

Need some advice, I’m a third year healthcare/corp/M&A associate in Texas from a small firm. Was let go today because of recent hires and not enough billable work.
