All retail banking roles will be eliminated in the next 20 years, only high net worth individuals will continue to rely on human investment advisors.

As long as it’s not the basic lowest tier retail it should be fine

I am guessing you mean institutional equity sales? It comes down to which asset class you are most interested in. But ultimately, it’s mastering the art of sales. That skill will be valuable and interchangeable down the road.

Intellectually, it’s probably less challenging than derivatives/structured products, fixed income, and fx/commodities sales.

Job won’t exist in 20 years is my guess

Currently I own VOO, VXUS, QQQ, and tiny positions in ARKK. Should I buy emerging markets/mid-cap etfs? Increase my 10% position in international? Or something else. Mid 20s.

Anyone that’s jumped from the D to MBB, I am curious how different the work is? I love my team, project city, but I’m not interested in the project. How much better is the work at MBB at analyst lvl?

Spg platinum line is way better than the ambassador. The systems recognize your phone number so they don't ask for your spg number. Also, Americans pick up at night instead of the Chinese ambassadors.

Happy MLK day 🐟 fam! Would like to get some positive buzz going. Start: I appreciate the diversity of discourse here, so many strangers offering helpful advice, a shoulder to lean, or simply empathy.

I have been working in Talent Acquisition for going on 2 yrs. I was a recruiter then a talent acquisition coordinator. I really didn't like recruiting, felt like a sales person this was totally not my vibe. I'm loving working as a coordinator its definitely for me but I'm just not sure how to move to the next level or what that next level looks like. I am interested in learning/working in employee relations or as a generalist. Any advice on how to move up or what roles I should be looking for.

Lateral move + 10K bump to MBB or promotion + 30K bump to a niche firm? Similar type of work.

I've been at McKinsey for a few years now and think it's time to make a switch. One of the paths I'm most interested in is product management. How similar are product management interviews to consulting interviews? Are their any Victor Cheng consulting interview prep videos equivalents for the PM interview world?

I am 22 and have both an individual brokerage account, Roth IRA, and 401k. I invest up to the company match in 401k, Max out the Roth, and invest here and there in the individual brokerage account. In the individual and Roth I only invest in etfs for simplicity, but my question is should I structure my etfs differently in each? Current breakdowns: Roth (20% vtwo, 30% voo, 25% PBW, 25% arkw) Personal (30% PBW, 15% fxaix, 10% fagix, 30% arkw, 15% vtwo)

How is Seattle to live in? Cost of living etc. What would be a comfortable salary there ? Not a big fan of cities like SF but more fond of cities like Austin etc. Is Seattle closer in nature to SF ?
