Is going thru PEP and getting the CPA worth it if you’re not in audit or tax?

If it's fully paid for and you have spare time then sure. A CPA could be helpful for m&a type of work.

like

Have a CPA and a CFA, to be honest they are helpful to a certain extent, but I think work experience counts more. If you are working in the accounting team of a business the CPA designation won't help you get into M&A. If you are working in transaction advisory in Big 4 doing M&A work the CPA will help you stand out ito skillset.

Prioritize for M&A experience rather than the CPA qualification

Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.

When do partners decide when an associate is good enough to make partner? I’m a senior and it is extremely clear to me when an associate has it or doesn’t, and moreover it doesn’t take eight years to figure it out; it takes just one or two matters for me to know if they’re adding value or are ultimately just a commodity. It’s hard for me to avoid the conclusion that associates are largely being strung along by partners who are going to can them at some point, long after that decision is made.

I have been a software developer (professionally) for about 7 years now, but I’ve decided to move out from that job and do something else (still in tech).
I don’t know yet what to do exactly, but I know I just don’t want to be only writing code every day.
Tbh, I am scared. But I have set myself one year to learn something new.
I also want to go for a job that pays more (55k€ currently). I live in Paris, France, and software developers are not well paid.
Any suggestion for a career transition?
