I guess it comes down to evaluation of a few factors: the founders of the boutique, their recent performance (how fast are they growing / what whitespaces are they serving), your career ambitions: advisory vs audit, remember you can also go back to a bigger brand at a later stage - learning curve + career aspirations are key decision points. All the best!

Sounds like a good opportunity, all the best

Better off going mid tier imo than much smaller

My advise is move to the boutique, spend some time there and learn new stuff then move back to an Advisory Big 4 practice if you want to switch career from Audit to Consulting.

I was corp finance and hated it then did a year at a boutique, got a quick promo then did a lateral to Big4 so I’d definitely recommend it as a good entry point. Just make sure the boutique has a strong client list (Fortune 500/PE) so you can reference “impressive” projects

Could be really interesting. Many careers are linear but most are not

So I went through recruiting at ACN and the recruiter said they want to go forward with an offer. We discussed some numbers and she said she'll get back in a week. It's been 2 weeks and now I'm getting total radio silence. I was referred for the role and the guy who referred me also got a mail stating that they want to move with the offer. Anyone got any idea what could be happening?
