Who cares...is this really worth arguing about? Let the Fđ have their event in peace
Well in my opinion, such an event is very anti-equality and therefore hurtful that men arenât given the same mentorship and networking opportunity in this particular instance đ
Show up and say you identify as a woman.
I was joking. Obviously, it'd be a very unprofessional thing to do.
Under represented and non-privileged groups face larger and different challenges than those in the majority. Therefore they are allowed and encouraged to host events that support them that may externally sound as if they are inherently sexist.
You could probably host a menâs event, i know Accenture has a Menâs employee resource group. I would not recommend the same thing for Whites...
Well organise an all male one if you want to. Also, an all male event is about 95% of what my day is everyday
Thereâs a difference between equality and equity, OP.
Probably depends on context
Context: this is a social event, but interested in hearing everyones thoughts on this, and how your answer depends if the event is social or more work related (mentorship, keynote speaker event etc.)
