I’m currently a maxed out GS-15 Step 10. Masters degree is Electrical/Computer Engineering, but now a Program Manager for a high visibility area. I have 10 years to reach full retirement age (57). I find myself whiling away most of my weekend on Grindr and other dating apps. >90% of the time is wasted and doesn't lead to anything. I know it's a black hole but I still keep going back. Off late, I've realized that more than anything else, I'm just lonely and don't have much else to do. I go there craving sort of connection and human interaction.
