Is hiring freeze till this quarter? As i got update from hr, even after postive feedback they are not releasing offer leter.

Hey, I had a job interview yesterday where they asked my salary expectations. I answered, then they said “the position pays X and this is on the higher side”. It was about 7K less than what I wanted. But it sounded like they were very firm with what they offered. I can’t tell if they meant it when they said “this is already on the higher side”. Also, I’m losing my bonus so I asked if they give sign on bonuses. They only give to execs apparently. How do I rebuttal without losing the opportunity?

The proposed from Co. that I’m working with is “Senior Manager” (mapped to “level 9”) with a lot following it to describe the team. Director is not allowable but could present “associate director”. Which carries more clout (“senior manager” vs “associate director”) at your org? Team involves digital strat, ops, implementation at well-known co and trying to reflect high level of the role but concerned SM mistranslates

Got an interview for a position I’m under-qualified for (3-5 YOE required and I only have 2). Cant help but feel it’s impossible to get the job from the start...am I justified in feeling this way? Should I give up hope

I work for a toxic company that doesn't seem to want to promote anyone on the legacy product or women in general. I haven't gotten a title change in years but I do the work of a Sr. Manager. None of us on legacy are allowed to start work on the new system which means everyone gets promoted around us. Has anyone else worked for a company that kept you down but you were able to get hired for a role seemingly much higher than the one you have now?

How should I go about preparing for it? Is MBA the only course?
