I am contemplating a Strategy Insights & Planning AC offer from ZS in the US. Being early in my career I am placing a premium on learning, growth, and development opportunities. I basically want to be sure i’d be doing strategy consulting, building core consulting skills / business acumen, and not be doing any bs “consulting” work that isn’t really consulting (e.g. staff aug or implementing SAP). I would really appreciate insight and perspective from Zs-ers. ZS Associates

Think it becomes problematic when you’re using multiple recruiters at the same time and you’re not controlling where each recruiter applies to. Think it might be a red flag for a firm. If not a red flag, only one recruiter can get paid for placing you at the firm anyway.
Might also take away incentive from one recruiter to try and place you if you’re working with multiple. I don’t know this for sure but I suspect this would be an argument against using multiple recruiters.
There might be a case if you’re looking in two separate markets, but even that could get messy.
Ask your recruiter whether they’re ok with you receiving opportunities from other recruiters. Some are cool with it and others will request exclusivity. I think a lot of the best ones will ask for exclusivity because their coverage is so good and they invest a lot in applicants. The recruiter i worked with did, and literally every time I emailed her some email blast from another recruiter with an interesting opportunity, she could say, “Oh, that’s X firm. It was in the lists I sent you last week but on the low priority list because Y.”
