I work in industry and I’m on a project now where a Senior Partner and Partner are on most our calls and seem very involved in delivery. The EM takes point on the deck but less on client relationships. I used to work at Big 4 and honestly our partners were rarely involved.

Does McK federal space bring in exp hires at the associate level? Had a partner review my cv and said although impressive they tend to bring experienced hires in at associate partner or higher.

Currently 1-1.5 years out of college, working at a T2 firm doing commercial due diligence work. Have gotten some offers but confused about which one to take:

1. OW PE team, joining in a position higher than at my current firm, basically skipping a year. OWs PE practice as far as I know doesn’t have huge market share
2. McKinseys PE practice but coming in a position lower than where I currently am
3. Stay at my current firm which is experiencing high growth

End goal is to move to the buy side
