What’s HUGE’s reputation?
Hello folks, I am in free pool post lateral joining . Do anyone have any idea how much time i will get to find a project ? Designation - SA Another challenge - i had joined as base location kolkata but in the ADP video they are mentioning that i cannot reject any opportunities for location mismatch 🙄 . It seems very unethical behaviour & policy when you hiring any professional at specific location . Any Advice & suggestions will help ne a lot 🙏 Cognizant Wipro Tata Consultancy

I think the best advice I’ve seen around this is the following: 1. If you do this, be prepared to get turned down and more or less have to leave 2. Are you confident that they won’t give you the raise and then try to get rid of you soon? 3. There’s probably a few reasons you bothered interviewing, is money really the only thing?

What group at Accenture?
Was in the same boat where I felt severely underpaid. Had a sit down with management and walked them through my business case with some market research. Got a 17% bump...it is possible and didn't have to get another offer to make my point.
What market research did you use? A specific website or something?
I think it’s a lose-lose. Take them the offer, and they might get upset then fire you eventually. Or they will match the offer and be sour about it the rest of your career

Honestly, based on the fact that you’ve put in so much effort in getting a new offer, you are already prepared to leave. Don’t marry your employer, do what’s best for you.
A SC coworker of mine at D did this ~5 years ago. Ran it up the chain and got the PPD to approve something like a 15% off-cycle increase, if memory serves. She stayed at D for 2 more years then left.
Do it!!! Just handle the conversation politely and show that you’d rather stay with Accenture then go to a new place. They would prolly take you to 50% of the difference if they like you. This happens very often, i did this last year.
Totally agree. I think it really depends how you say it. Tell them that you got approached and they offered you quite a bit more but you really like the company and would love to stay, ask if there is anything they can do to match this.
Recommend, you leave and take new job or analyze how to position yourself to demonstrate value to merit bump. Most companies have their pay adjustments on a budgetary cycle. And if it doesn’t coincide with your request you might be jeopardizing your position.
You can try, but most big places won't bat an eye about you resigning. So be prepared to walk if you tell them you have an offer.
I’ve personally never done it but I have seen people successfully get a pay bump on my team and within other sectors. However, reading through other post on here it seems like not a great idea. But always prepare for a no and what the impact will be.
I did this and they offered to match it. Highly depends on project and skill set though.

Depends on if they find you valuable or not. At Accenture you can just go talk to an MD or SM on your project that’ll bat for you. They can get you off cycle raises. I’ve seen it happen twice.

Also, when I left Accenture they offered to at least try to match. They wouldn’t have been able to anyway, but they did offer. If you go get a new salary of 200 somewhere don’t bring that back expecting a match.
