No ppl do it all the time. I’d say it looks bad if u spent 2+ years at big 4 and left as an audit staff at mm

like

Depends on the reason. As long as you can give a good one, then future employers should be good with it.

Ehhh. No/maybe/yes. It really depends how mid market. Are we talking GT/BDO or a top 20 firm. Are you going for audit to advisory. Cause that would be nice okay. Audit to audit, you have to ask why. Are you going to make partner at the smaller firm okay I can get behind that. But if it just a stepping stone it’s best to leverage the big four name to jump to industry, easier to do when leaving from big 4 vs mid market.

I see it happen at CR all the time, but ask yourself why do you want to make this type of move?

Maybe it’s mid tier recruiter propaganda attracting you but the hours are just as bad as Big 4 and making partner is still difficult and heavily political

The work is boring, it’s stuff the Big 4 doesn’t want to do like benefit plan audits and dentist office mergers

Go to industry if you want WLB or a quality boutique firm if you genuinely like public accounting

CR1: Do you think there is more staff augmentation at top 20? I am in need of more clients and more diversified experience. I am just annoyed doing the same audit year after year.

Anyone also looking into greentech SPACS?

I've taken small positions (<$500 total) in these pre-LOI SPACs. In order of the size of my positions: BOAC, PDAC, SNPR, SOAC.

BOAC - Very bullish given the experience from Shell Capital, McKinsey and various U.S. utilities

PDAC: Management team has lots of energy and banking experience

SNPR: already had a successful merger with HYLN and purportedly has other candidates waiting.

SOAC: impressive utilities and consulting experience

I’m sure someone addressed this but what is the consensus on proof of vaccination for cast and crew. I work in the commercial world and it seems to be all over the place. Client has kicked the can down to agency/production. I’m production, I say fully vaxxed. Agency producer says fully vaxxed. Overall, most crew is happy about a vax policy. I just do t see how we can accommodate The anti-vaxxers and still provide a safe shoot. What say you?
