This is actually an extremely common and accepted practice. HR expects a wave of resignations the week after bonus payouts
Just make sure it hits your checkbook and then be gracious. I did it years ago after a full years vacation had been front loaded they had to cash me out. #beblessed

C2- this "i put my job above everything else in life" philosophy has taken over the US and then people act surprised when businesses make business decision. My job is a job, my family and friends come before it, even if it's at the expense of my job.

Planning on doing this... I feel 0 remorse
Would you leave without collecting a pay check due to you? Think of it in similar terms...
What date does D pay bonus? I’m joining in June and feel like I’ll be walking into a vacuum.
June 11. Make sure you join after this date if you don't want your inbox to be full of farewell emails.
As long as the check has cleared and there is no chance of clawback.
No - there are people who leave on the day of the bonus lol

No?

Nope
Nah... you do you fam!
This is the only look.
Why do you care? You’re leaving. The people who want to maintain relationships with will understand and might even be happy for you.
The rest probably won’t even think about your leaving.
Let it hit your account
I’m going it day of — the second that it hits my bank account
