This is actually an extremely common and accepted practice. HR expects a wave of resignations the week after bonus payouts

Just make sure it hits your checkbook and then be gracious. I did it years ago after a full years vacation had been front loaded they had to cash me out. #beblessed

ASD1 - I'm honored.

C2- this "i put my job above everything else in life" philosophy has taken over the US and then people act surprised when businesses make business decision. My job is a job, my family and friends come before it, even if it's at the expense of my job.

No, and you won't be the only one giving notice that day.

Nope , it’s smart . Do what makes you happy .

I would be like “I as many others was disappointed by my bonus and will be leaving”. Maybe that way it helps the rest of us for next time.

Gosh, I wish my bonus wasn’t paid out until September. I’m ready to leave now

No, it's the optimal tge thing to do. There's a reason why they delay giving bonuses

Planning on doing this... I feel 0 remorse

Would you leave without collecting a pay check due to you? Think of it in similar terms...

What date does D pay bonus? I’m joining in June and feel like I’ll be walking into a vacuum.

June 11. Make sure you join after this date if you don't want your inbox to be full of farewell emails.

As long as the check has cleared and there is no chance of clawback.

No - there are people who leave on the day of the bonus lol

Why do you care? You’re leaving. The people who want to maintain relationships with will understand and might even be happy for you.

The rest probably won’t even think about your leaving.

Is it socially / professionally OK to request to leave an engagement? If yes, how do you go about doing so or what reasons seem acceptable? I’ve started looking up other engagements and my reason is the clients attitude is a bit unbearable, creating a difficult working env. to thrive in and probably detrimental to my career and mental health. Do I sound like a complainer or is this OK to do? Keep in mind, the clients employer as well as EY is aware of clients attitude and had several HR conv. w/

How serious are most companies about “required experience” in job postings? Since SA roles are somewhat consulting-like, I’m finding that a lot of positions want 10+ years of experience. I’m 2 years out of college but a strong candidate with a great resume. Do I avoid applying for anything that wants 5+ years experience? That seems to be 80% of the jobs unfortunately

Hi fishes,
Please give your suggestion. I am little bit confused and worried too.
Few days back I gave interview for Qualcomm and got verbal confirmation from the HR that I am selected and will be receiving offer letter after 10 days.
Its been 7 days only but for one query I am trying to connect with HR, but he is not responding anymore.
So is this a sign that he has moved ahead with other candidate?

For those in corporate development, can you talk about the financial modeling aspect of the job? How detailed do you get? Full three-statement or something much simpler? 50 tabs or less? It would be helpful if you could say what size company and whether it’s public or private. Thanks!
