Is it a bad sign if your group is actively calling out low utilization at your level as a problem in the group?

That’s so weird. Are you in some international tax group?

What group is this?

Are you a senior

I'm a senior yeah

Ours is calling it out but because we are trying to hire more + recession. So if people are not hitting hours then they point at those people and say we can’t hire

It doesn't really, that's a pretty bad mindset imo. Maybe on the first project they're working on, but they get more reps, it will only help the budget in the long run. Imo they want to push for overtime to get good ratings because utilization is all my group seems to care about

Crazy how this is a problem at Big 4, I have been unassigned for 2 weeks in core audit as a senior. RM says It’s weird timing to get on a new team so it will take time.

At my last national firm, I was staffed every day since I started for 3 years. I probably held 100%+ utilization for all 3 years.

It’s not a good thing. What are you doing to reverse the trend?

hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.

Post 3 months, I apply for a transfer. Transfer process delayed for some process reasons
No negatives/issues in my f22 feedback. Utilization above target. Way Above average
Recently fired without reason
Who should I escalate to?

When a consolidated unitary group acquires a TX Corp, does TX follow Sec. 382 and Sec. 383 and apply a limitation on the utilization of the acquired entity's TX R&D credits following the acquisition?

Hi all, need some advice here, like a lot of others here, Google is definitely a dream company for me to work at. I come from a non-technical background, currently working as a project manager + associate product manager (20% project situation) at a SaaS company. I would really appreciate the input on my chances for a Program manager/ associate product manager role. Also, what are some of the key skills that are utilized extensively in these roles, which google considers a great asset?

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.
