Left MBB 2 years post Mba to pursue equivalent pay and amazing wlb in a “big old tech” strategy team (think IBM, Dell, HP). I thought boring work would be fine in the context but after 1 year it’s getting to me. How would you think about exit timing to avoid “leaving too fast” but also avoiding becoming branded as an old tech guy? Does the old tech experience look bad for FAANG-like prospects?

Owner asked to increase rent by 70 percent or vacate by next month end. His home was vacant for 2 years before we came and now when everyone is getting back after covid, pure devil he became. How and when owner becoming so selfish. We asked for 1 month extra but he is like leave its my house.

I just did my pre-licencing certification and passed my CA state exam for property and casualty. No I have no idea what to do or where to start my career as an insurance agent since I have no experience in the real world, just lots of knowledge. Please help!

I’m convinced that the reason some of these firms are so prestigious is because they have intentionally exclusionary recruitment practices. I used to believe that you had to already be rich to get hired at MBB. Now being on the other side of the recruitment process , I really do feel that it rings true. I hate the way we evaluate candidates and decide on who is “high priority” during coffee chats.

I am a 17 year seasoned outpatient PT in Tampa FL who is the current head PT for my clinic. I do marketing, admin duties as well as staffing. I haven’t gotten a base hourly salary raise in 8 years! (I do get a percentage of profits but due to Covid, haven’t gotten one in 2 yrs). I do not get 401k, con Ed or health insurance benefits.

Have good resume with great experiences + T15 undergrad school. Especially with the slowdown on experienced hires, are there any recommendations for when to apply?

1. Genpact - 27 CTC (24 fixed + 10% variable plus gratuity) Manager level
2. Airbus - 23 CTC + 5 L JB
I really wanted to work with Airbus but they are not budging from the offer of 23 even after I told them I have a better offer from Genpact with better position. HR said they will come back..

I hope the interviewers didn’t make a mistake (accidentally mixed up evals for another candidate, or the call was meant for another candidate w/ the same name). If i applied to BCG China 1 year ago & got rejected, can i reapply now with a consultant's referral to the US (no resume improvements, just referral + applying to new geography)? Does BCG track applications globally & do they strictly require 2 years new experience for reapplicants? Would the consultant's referral make a difference in getting an interview 1 year post-rejection?

How are senior partners elected at BCG? Very familiar with Mckinsey as I’m an alum. Not that it matters to me personally, just curious because of the higher office centric vs global “one firm” structure
