If you have enough points for your resume to share a story in interviews then u can surely switch.

Yes most openings are for 2+ yrs exp. You can wait one more year . You can expect more hike then

So evaluating the offer that should i go for it and have a fresh start maybe get into some project having my preferred skillset or bear with the current project for one more year just to complete 2 YOE but that seems bit difficult to tolerate :(

Do it asap if you don't see any quality work coming your way in near future

If you don't get opportunities keep building your side project and switch after 2 year. Your skillset has high paying jobs in market.

Hi guys , I have been lately feeling lot of anxiety majorly work related. Have even consulted a therapist regarding this and since my situation needs immediate attention, have put in my papers as I am not happy with what I am doing with my current role and need a break. Has anyone of you felt the same before and how did you managed it?

I love doc review because you are the first (and sometimes only) person to know all the facts about a case from a primary source. You constantly learn about new topics such as the inner workings of companies, industries, and people in general. You are the first person to see the full picture as it actually is rather than what someone claims it is. Your decisions affect the trajectory of the case. YOU ARE THE ALL-SEER. THE MASTER OF FACTS. Why does everyone hate on doc review so much??

Is it just me or are you guys always so cold at the client site or office that you can't show off your nice outfits. So many short sleeve tops and dresses gathering dust in the closet 😣

Leaving a biglaw shop at end of the year. A client that I've worked with, and who has liked my work, reached out to me (a senior associate, copying all clients but copying no partners or other personnel from my firm) to ask if I could handle a new matter. They asked for a conflicts check and what my billable rate might be in the new year. I'm departing to a new, much smaller firm which will most likely have a much lower rate. How do you approach this? Alert the typical partners?

This city has a lot to offer in literally everything. With such diversity in all things (people, food, sports, events, schools, arts, etc) and magnitude (population size and density), one should expect complexities that come with the territory. Illness, rent, subway, etc. Empathize with the current situation but don’t be blinded by the media’s reporting frenzy that profits off of your clicks. If you can’t deal, then don’t. But no need to project your superiority over a city’s pain.
