Hi guys , I have been lately feeling lot of anxiety majorly work related. Have even consulted a therapist regarding this and since my situation needs immediate attention, have put in my papers as I am not happy with what I am doing with my current role and need a break. Has anyone of you felt the same before and how did you managed it?

Why does everyone hate on doc review so much??

Leaving a biglaw shop at end of the year. A client that I've worked with, and who has liked my work, reached out to me (a senior associate, copying all clients but copying no partners or other personnel from my firm) to ask if I could handle a new matter. They asked for a conflicts check and what my billable rate might be in the new year. I'm departing to a new, much smaller firm which will most likely have a much lower rate. How do you approach this? This city has a lot to offer in literally everything. With such diversity in all things (people, food, sports, events, schools, arts, etc) and magnitude (population size and density), one should expect complexities that come with the territory. Illness, rent, subway, etc. Empathize with the current situation but don’t be blinded by the media’s reporting frenzy that profits off of your clicks. If you can’t deal, then don’t. But no need to project your superiority over a city’s pain.
