Currently work in cancer research (not a doctor or nurse) thinking about making a change. I am considering getting a masters in supply chain management or data analytics. My other thought was to become a real estate agent. I am an introvert and a homebody. I love working remotely. I do enjoy knowing what I will do day to day but having it not be the same general thing day in and day out. In most of my positions, it can get repetitive. I am unsure what to do and am looking for opinions.
Thoughts on switching from corporate tax to nonprofit tax as a career path? Any downsides?
Hi Guys, need help from you
I interviewed for tcs for SAP function Consultant and cleared technical as well as managerial round on same day. Next day I received mail from HR that I have been shortlisted and require to submit all the documents.
My CCTC is 21 LPA ( 19 fixed) and I put my expectations as 27 LPA (30 percent hike on Current CTC), YOE- 5.8 years till now and then need to serve 3 month NP ( till joining 6 years)
Which designation should I ask to TCS HR?
Mad CTC can I expect from TCS?Tata Consultancy
The company I work for (SaaS) has little to no inbound leads coming in. We mostly do outbound work. At the top of your head, what do you think could be the main reasons for this?
Just got offered a salary that is about 34K more than what I earn now for the same position. I love where I work though and want to see if I can negotiate my current salary. How should I go about it?
Quit my job at EY a month back without any back up at 7.5 CTC. Got an offer from Citi today for 21.5 fixed. YOE: 1.5
Coming here with a substantive question with the hope that someone has more knowledge of this practice area than myself. My brother was denied a position at a golf course in Orlando because he has a med marijuana card for severe anxiety. Does anyone know if this is a contrary to any statute or case law? HR told him they are double checking their policies and they’ll get back to him in a couple of days. I want to help him prepare for that conversation if there’s anything beneficial he can say.
So, I was watching The Indian matchmaking show today (Netflix famous / infamous 😂)

Help! My previously thick hair has started thinning/falling out. Has anyone dealt with this before? What helped?
I was reffered to a Job role in June, it's almost August and there is no mail or call from IqVia team. Is this normal?
Status on portal still says the application is active.
Ok, I’m probably going to get roasted for this, but I’m doing it for all of you consultants who no longer get to travel in this post-Covid world and are chasing that high…
How do I get my house to smell like the lobby of a Westin? I know they use mass-diffusers, and I know some of y’all know where to get them. How do I pull this off? Preferably for less than $50/month.
I'm 5yoe Frontend developer.
I have never done freelancing until now.
Yesterday I sent a proposal for a freelancing job on Upwork (to make extra bucks) which got accepted and the job turned out to be from some small company looking for freelancers.
I'm currently employed full-time in Mindtree.
The small company has asked me to share my resume with them.
Will it be called moonlighting?
How do I move forward with this?
What are the things I need to know about freelancing?
Recently married and I feel like my husband is having a midlife crisis. He is in investment banking and hates his life but loves the pay. He has no interest in consulting. One day he wants to buy a business, the next be CFO at a start up, then become a real estate investor. I want to be supportive but our financials don’t have wiggle room for him to fail (paying student debt). How can I be supportive while also needing him to have his act together?

Is it normal for your boss to have complete access to your calendar including the specific name and information of the people you have meetings set up with?
I work in an old school company that does not allow anyone to work remote except for management if necessary. Ever since the pandemic started, it’s been a regular day reporting to work and sitting in the office all day. Due to Covid, we decided it’s best to not meet in person but stay in our desk and talk via Teams/zoom. I am now struggling on finding a remote job because I don’t have any remote work experience. Any tips on how to get a remote job in HR?

Like most companies who are finally seeing the value in prioritizing diversity in their workforce, I’m curious if anyone has suggestions for any new creative talent databases that have surfaced lately that highlight under represented professionals. Would love to hear about them all! Thank you!

Does anyone have advice on what legal implications could be faced when an employee has sex at the workplace with a client?
I’ve been unemployed since May of this year and have been applying for HR/people ops coordinator and recruiting coordinator roles with no luck. I’ve managed to stay positive until today after getting an email that after 3 rounds of interviews I didn’t get the job. Any recruiters out there hiring for remote or hybrid (nyc area) roles?
I work in education based HR, and I don't particularly want to go to high on the totem pole, but to be more competitive (I didn't start in HR), what certs (if any) do people suggest in public school HR? We get professional development days off, and I'd like to figure out what's best for this industry?
Any suggestions from other Education based HR folks?
Hi, Is anyone in the hospitality arena looking for a seasoned HR professional? I have expertise in staffing, leave management, compensation principals, HRIS and performance management.
Transition to HRBP - which Cert? I’ve got the time and experience (mostly) to sit for the PHR or SHRM-CP. What are your recommendations based on industry experience. Also note I’m pivoting from a program director role.
Any suggestions for continuing to sharpen my skills as a recruiter when there's no TA manager and no "mentorship" in the company? I'm a 1-man recruiting team and the rest of the HR team is not as knowledgeable in the scope of recruiting.
Advice on bringing up issues in the workplace to a super small company? (About 30 people - no HR really)
There are about 6 partners at my firm and while I do work directly with one, there is no way he’s going to listen to my issues. Same with the owner. There is one other partner who I believe would listen but I don’t want to upset my boss by bypassing him.
I am being asked to propose my new salary as Director of HR. I am in CRO (drug development services) industry and supporting nationwide function of 650 employees. Located in Baltimore/Washington DC metro area. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Hi all! I’m working on content for an upcoming HR event and we are creating some comedy/sketches in between different sessions to make the event more fun. For some inspiration, I’d love to hear your favorite (or most overused) HR or recruitment lingo/jargon!
Hello everyone! I am currently in school to obtain my Bachelor of Sociology degree. I would like to gain experience in Human Resources department. How would I go about doing so when most companies want experience workers?
I am currently interviewing with DoorDash for a Program Manager role and they are offering 140tc. This seems extremely low especially since I’m in a HCOL. Is that a fair salary? Or does DoorDash just pay low?
SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.
Can anyone share ideas for names for an employee engagement survey? We are stuck. Tech company fwiw. Thanks!
