What’s the interview process for Counsel roles?
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Just to play devils advocate...
I can imagine a scenario where the recruiter kept bugging the ECD to set up the interview all week. The ECD said something like “yup, I’ll do that this week.” And then, because every ECD has a million things to do, and they’re being pulled in every direction... Friday afternoon rolls around and the recruiter nudges the ECD like, “did you schedule that interview with xxxxxxx?” And they marked the email “unread” in their inbox so that they wouldn’t forget. Because they had two small firedrills that needed to go out the door before the weekend. Then, the next day, the ECD wakes up on Saturday, enjoys their morning coffee, checks their email to see the reminder they left themself. And finally had a moment to themself to schedule the interview. Knowing full-well that Monday would have just as much free time as Friday.
Then he pops a mentos and smiles at camera because life is hard but he’s coooool under pressure.
Personally, the disrespect for christian tradition would increase my interest in working for them.
I've done weekend interviews when the candidate requested it. If it's the hirer asking for it that seems like a red flag.
Not to actually hold the interview on the Saturday - but email on a sat to schedule it.
So clearly THAT person is working on a holiday weekend and (maybe) expecting a response on a holiday weekend? Like, why not wait until Monday?
No, it's not a red flag. People have different work life boundary schedules. Maybe this person was incredibly busy all day, but rather than stay online past 5:30pm, he or she would rather just send it in the morning. Maybe this person only got a reminder to schedule this EOD Friday as someone else frantically tried to wrap up but didn't manage to get it done during the day/week. Could be any number of reasons why. And sure, this person could probably have scheduled the email to send Monday AM but maybe this person also didn't want you second guessing through an entire weekend, wondering if it was going to be scheduled or not?

I don’t think so.
If they request for an interview for next week. I don’t Think they necessarily thought you were going to reply to them over the weekend. Especially if they want interview as soon as Monday, probably just to put it on your radar. (I personally would’ve waited till Monday morning to send that though)
