Found out that my partner, who is an ACD is making more than I am as a CD. Problem is I can't reveal how I found out to my boss, so I don't know how to bring this up and ask for a raise.
After starting your first job, how long before you asked or were offered a raise? Did you get it? Share your story please!
2nd year staff here about to make senior...I was just offered a job at a company that I’ve been passionate about my whole life. I’d get about a $5k raise along along with a 300 hour per year..cont.
Coming back to D in October after LOA. During that LOA, I was approached by other firms, and received 3 offers. I do want to stay at D but if they cant match the offers I received, I will leave (offers include 30% increase and a promotion). How should I go about this? Do I contact my coach and let him know that I would like to stay but received different offers and I want to know if Deloitte can match them?
HELP! Do I take a promotion at my current agency OR take a lateral move and work at my dream agency (which would also cause a cross country move)
Interested in moving to strategy from tech in entry level role. Should I wait until Fall to hit 1 YOE before looking? Mindful of missing out on current hiring frenzy. I’m currently a high performer at my firm, on track for promotion ~1 year from now, and only working ~40 hours/week, but I don’t find the work interesting at all (PMO for ERP implementation).
When do you find out about discover? Want to quit after promotion in July but also want to experience Discover.
I got an offer from a fintech. Slight raise to what I currently make at EY. What should I consider when making my decision to accept/reject the offer?
🐠🐠 Wondering how you'd perceive a person in a C-Suite or leadership position: - typically a smooth talker - acts like he was struck by lightning when things don't go his way, though it shouldn't have been a surprise - claims to have low EQ when he causes misunderstandings, yet doesn't take action to resolve it, or get help to raise his EQ - says he doesn't know anything about current events (or ones from a few years ago) or keeps up with news because he only has Netflix, no cable & such
Cool, firmwide promotion list is out so I can be bitter about all the other people I started with getting promoted when I didn't #grumpy
What are the pros and cons of being a PPMD? Currently a Staff/Analyst up for promotion but not sure if I want to stay until partner.
That time of year again. Just found out I’m being promoted to Manager. What should I expect for the raise? S2 -> M1
What's your acceptable raise % with rating 1/2/3? (Please don't troll on this thread...) looking for realistic expectation.
In a tough situation and need some advice. I’m an audit associate who got passed up for senior promotion this year, but senioring a busy season engagement. There is another senior that is supposed to be on the job, but he hasn’t been staffed on the engagement the past couple weeks and is off this week. I now have the full responsibility of this engagement on my hands and feel like it’s pretty unfair considering I got passed up for promotion and am not getting paid to be a senior. What do I do?
What is everyone's company standard salary increase for promotion? Found out today mine is 12% and anything higher must be approved by a VP.
I have 2 offers, one from a great company 50% raise in hcol city. The other less known company 10% raise, but in my home city close to my parents (I have 3 kids). Help me choose.
Associate1 in MO. With my recent promotion, I went from low70s -> 85k. Quite happy until an Analyst1 showed me his paycheck - 80k + OT. Am I getting screwed with pay?
So is pre-promotion a busy time to jump firms? In case people don’t get promoted, leave immediately?
I’m a C with a salary in the mid 80’s and up for promotion. I feel this is pretty low compared to my peers. Is it likely that I will have a higher salary increase than my peers?
Been at Facebook for a month in a BizOps role. However, I just got a (very delayed) offer to be a Marvel product manager at Disney Streaming. Love facebook but my end goal is product management and it looks near impossible to switch internally since I’m in one of their HQ offices and most of the roles are sales. Should I switch? Comp is 30k less at DSS and not as good benefits, I’d burn a bridge, and I’m happy at FB but scared of losing a good opp
I’ve been fully vaccinated since early this year (Pfizer), and tested positive for Covid-19 three days ago. I’m laid up in bed feeling terrible and quarantined so that my wife (who tested negative) and two kids don’t catch it from me. Remember: be safe. Don’t relax yet. The vaccines are wonderful, but we can still get it and pass it on.
Can you cash in on the lodging per diem and use air bnb instead of booking the preferred rate hotels for client travel? I think I'd rather have the cash than the hotel points.
Is sales engineering a good exit opportunity? It seems like you’d be a liaison between the customer and the solution team that highlights the client needs while managing their expectations at the same time.
Any insight in to Publicis Health Media or working at Publicis in general? Would you work there over an omnicom / ipg agency if pay was significantly higher ?
Question for people with nannies/home child care in NYC…how much are you paying them? Any benefits being offered to them? Sick days? Paid holidays? Vacation? First time Mom and the range I am getting from candidates seems so high not sure what is fair in this field. I don’t want to short anyone working to care for my baby but also don’t want to feel like I am working just to pay for the care.
All my MBB 🐠, is there anyone who would be willing to chat with me about your role and experience, the company culture and work and potentially work with me to see if I am a good fit and also if you would be willing to refer me? I am currently a Senior Consultant at EY.
How do you ladies invest (outside of 401k/employee stock purchase plan - already maxing those out!)/how have your investments done? Just finished my first year of work and have a stupid amount just sitting in my savings account that I know I need to invest ASAP! Not sure where to start! Thank you!
if I go onto internal audit at a fortune 500 company, a role that also looks at operations not just controls, what kind of options will that give me going forward compared to a senior accountant role
Best books about product management for a good exit to industry? I already have an MBA and PMP but looking for a refreshed perspective since it’s been years since my formal education. Currently reading “Product Managements Sacred Seven” but it’s geared toward the startup world. I am in healthcare and not looking for a startup role. TIA!!!
Tempted to rsvp yes to summer intern events about one month after my due date (our second), Feel like some social events would be fun, but is that just wishful thinking?
Hi, I have more than 5+ years of experience in Performance Testing and engineering. I do not want to continue in tech. Want to switch to management. So planning to do a PMP course. Really confused about the consequences after the course, whether I'll be able to successfully get a management role or not. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for me? Any guidance is appreciated.
Fishes help me figure out the best offer, please. Microsoft 63 vs FB E4 (but a role I'm more interested in). Microsoft is $180k, $185k/4 yrs, $25k sign-on. Facebook is $170k, $400k/4 yrs, $60k sign-on. I would have to move to SF from Redmond for the Facebook offer.
Surely you mean ‘raise health with’. C’mon guys.
Creatives, if I send you resources you asked for in an email or Slack and your response is to ask me send it to the PM instead, I immediately view you as a precious child. Don’t be a child.
Hey SPED teachers!! I will be in a 2nd-3rd grade resource classroom. I am looking for station ideas for both math and ELA. Thank you in advance❤️
Just got dinged, without an interview. Can I email admissions to ask for feedback? Do people normally do that?
