I feel like every dude I've followed in advertising has one solid client (or less) and then just up and starts an agency. Where are the women starting shops that I don't know about?
Could anybody share lessons learned from returning from military leave? I’m finding it more difficult to get staffed on that first project back than I anticipated.
Experienced associate found an error in one sample and tells me they are immaterial so I gotta tell this person you can’t mark a sample below posting, gotta project it. I then look into the error and they marked a difference in the control for a recon we use in the sample calcs as immaterial due to rounding but it’s like way over the precision we document. I’m heated. No concept of materiality.
Hi! New to PwC and consulting. Can someone please give me insight into how to get staffed on a project?
Leave the office 2 hours after the client leaves and arrive to the office 1 hour before the client gets here...sigh...
Female 🐠 - has anyone had a laparoscopic myomectomy? Would like to hear how long it took you to return to: 1.) light remote work 2.) full time remote work 3.) traveling to client. Thanks
Poll - Have companies started travel to client sites? Which companies? I know Deloitte team members are traveling. Also, I see a new trend based on interactions with a few people. Most prefer remote
Does anyone else get a serious case of imposter syndrome? I BS 90%+ of my client meetings and projects have never been on fire. Been doing this for 3+ years and feels like someone will catch on...
New project is in Albuquerque, cool city or nah?
Why would a Consulting company use their Associates as project managers? I’ve been on back to back projects as a project manager, just inquiring why I would manage as opposed to work on a work stream.
I am rolling off a project sooner than expected. Project wants me to go through the amendment but I don’t get the point but the time I know my result it will almost be time to roll off.
You know you're at the client site too late when none of the on-premise PokeStops have the Lure module on them anymore.
Is a stainless steel datejust with jubilee/fluted bezel too flashy to wear at client site? My client is an insurance company and we’re doing analytics strategy
I am new to consulting and I have never felt more insecure. I am the subject matter expert for my team and a liaison with the client but most of the technical stuff is going over my head. I think part of the issue is that I feel like I am going to have to defend every choice I make. I am not used to that and I just don't get some concepts. Also, there are not many women and I have worked in mainly female work environments until now.
I've gotten to a point with my client where they are super comfortable with me. We don't shake hands anymore, but dap each other up. Same with my senior client account lead. Guess this is a good thing
Does anyone sign their emails at the end with their initials of their first and last name? I'm not sure how I feel about that, I've noticed quite a lot of people in the firm and at the client who do.

As an interventionist, I work with many grade levels and students. Looking for the best way to document data and information along with how to share the information with classroom teachers & parents.
I am thinking of switch from plaintiff side work to defense work in employment litigation. Has anyone made this switch? Did you regret? We’re billable hours too much to handle? More in comments.
Miss my travel points. Anybody have any ideas for point boosting? Was thinking about flipping high value tickets..
Can you ask the hiring manager for this email or do you have to send the recruiter a thank you email so they can forward it to the hiring manager?
Any insight on pay and WLB at the major boutique firms (Avascent, Renaissance, Fairmont, CSP, etc)? Might be interested in transitioning to the A&D sector. 2 years post-MBA in M&A consulting and I have ~7 years government experience prior to b-school and previously held a TS/SCI. TIA Avascent
Any thoughts/feedback to jump from Big 4 to MBB? I made it through some interviews with them from a non target college and was wondering if you guys had any advice for a non-MBA path?
How has travel restrictions affected your work? Do you see a permanent shift to how consulting works? (i.e less travel, more home office work)
For those of you with the CFP designation, did it help you win over business much more so than prior to you getting the designation?
