Maybe reach out on LinkedIn? I’d definitely love it if someone did that to me so really no wrong way of going about it.

Also I was thinking at least a phone call they can’t screenshot and send to the partner at their firm lol

like

Agreed with LinkedIn.

Also, mind sharing what this junior did that impressed you?

like

Yes, curious too!

Recently had this happen to me! Partner called me after the deal closed. I was happy to hear it despite not having intentions to switch.

like

I've seen partners do this - called them up directly after deal closed.

like

Yes. Just call them. They will be flattered and appreciate it/think of you down the line even if not interested today. Make sure the deal is done first so no conflicts issues.

Recruiter here. I’ve had clients/firms approach me directly offer me half fee to handle it. I do this all the time — partners and associates. Just a thought.

This happened to me recently and I wondered why they didn’t approach directly but good to know it’s not an unusual way to do it. I’d still want her to go through the interview process etc though so don’t want to give the wrong impression.

Yes, call them! I’m not looking to move, but I’ve gotten a few calls like this from partners I’ve worked on deals with and it’s always nice to hear!

I started at a litigation firm around 6 months ago. I took a pay cut for the position under the direction that the billable hours would be much less at this firm. As it has turned out this is not the case and if anything my hours have increased.
