Is it appropriate to email a hiring manager for an update? I emailed HR on Monday. I had an interview two weeks ago (the third interview) for a position I really want. I haven’t heard anything and I keep checking the status and I’m not rejected yet. I thought about emailing the director who I initially interviewed with today since I haven’t heard from HR.

How would it look to switch firms with less than 1 YOE out of undergrad? I am not loving my current role and it seems other firms are hiring now. I am worried if I wait I will miss out on what appears to be a strong market.

I need to ask for a raise and I am doing some salary research. Due to the size of the business, my graphic design role has become more than just that since I also attend, socialise at and document social events and expos.

What job title do you think is fitting for someone who handles branding, marketing as well as generating content for these in person events?

I would also appreciate any advice in regard to asking for a raise and how to do so appropriately, since this will be my first time.

How honest are you during interviews in regards to the value of the user research / user testing you did leading up your projects?

Asking because based on my experience (10 YOE across startup tech and corporate) most user research / user testing is mostly insignificant from a statistical significance POV and often done to check off the “did user research / user testing” box.

I have been in my current position for 5 yrs with minimal pay increases despite consistent praise from management for being one of the strongest in our department. I hold specialty certifications, staff in ICU and ED, am part of several hospital committees, and regularly perform formulary reviews/MUEs/guideline updates.
