How do I transition from a Senior Executive Assistant role to Project Management? Ideally I would like to work in tech. How should I go about this? Why were Analyst salaries only raised to $95K when my friends at big firms (not just tier 2 but also MBB) will be making $100-120k as second years?

Hi guys, I had an interview for an SDE 2 in the Bay Area. The recruiter came back saying they can only offer an SDE 1 position, and currently the team I interviewed for does not have any open positions at that level. The recruiter mentioned that they have sent out my application to multiple hiring managers and as soon as they hear back they will let me know. I can’t find any language stating I have to in my handbook and I work for a large network. I don’t have a senior role and not going to a direct competitor. Am leaving a toxic team and am worried my manager will ask, or say something like we need to know you’re not going to someone we think is a competitor.

I received an offer I can’t turn down. My company had a few others leave recently, and my close counterpart is on vacation until October, so the GC and rest of the company will likely be in disarray after I leave.

Any advice on how to put in my 2 weeks? I’d prefer to leave on a good note and not a sour one…

My co-worker is so resentful and competitive because I was promoted over her last year which caused a demotion on her end. People in the company still go to her for things that should be for me but she rarely corrects them. Shes still involved in the company too in a way that allows her to know secrets that I should know about but never do. I technically am above her within the company but this is how things are. I just do my job and try to not let it bother me but it does. Any suggestions?
