Is it appropriate to wear business casual clothing to an interview for a fin-tech firm?

Exchanged 23 emails over 1.5 months to set up interviews and nothing yet from my recruiter. And he hasn’t told me what to expect either. Can anyone tell me what to expect for Product Strategy interviews? (Not PM, Pgm, or S&O)

After a long interview process, I had to decline an offer from Amazon. I was really excited, but they wanted to start me as an L4. I already have offers on the table $15,000 more then the possible top compensation an L4 can get.

Once I get my bonus (tomorrow) what are the drawbacks of telling my biglaw firm I interviewed with another firm and am strongly considering accepting their soon-to-be offer (at a higher salary)?

I’m a 2nd yr that is way more qualified than just doc review/discovery/shadowing more senior lawyers but I don’t want a firm to use that as justification to kill/dump me with work. Need Advice*** I successfully completed my interviews and was told today their working on my offer of 90k+ BUT I got thrown for a loop with the last interviewer (head of HR). She mentioned A hybrid schedule of 3 days in office, but the executive I’d be supporting told me different. I almost think that’s withholding information and I should share during round 1.

I had my two or three interviews, got an offer for a role at an university, I accepted and am “ hired” . But they’re still checking references . Does that make sense ? I got a update that one of my references did not work out. I provided two other references that I don’t know if they’ll give great reviews due to them being petty. I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

When someone calls your previous places of employment, what can they legally ask? I was told they can verify length of employment. I’ve heard they can or can’t ask if they would hire you back, I was told they cannot ask your previous salary. Does anyone know the facts?
