Best Korean skincare products?
Starting a new job tomorrow. My new office allows casual dress (jeans and sneakers) through at least the end of the year while people are still mostly remote. I was also told that I could wear jeans and sneakers on my first day for orientation. These are the only non athletic sneakers I own. Do you think they would be appropriate? I’m mostly worried about the backs—one side is green, one is red.

NYX makes an affordable matte lip gloss that I wear daily!
I wear matte too. Why the concern for them? I find a lot of the glossier ones are too shiny. I use YSL, Burberry, and Lancôme but those aren’t in the cheap end (close to $40 a stick). If you’re willing to splurge, I find that they’re very moisturizing and long lasting.
Marc Jacobs makes gloss that isn’t too shiny, hair doesn’t stick to it, and they come in neutral colors. Not exactly what you were asking for, but could be fun if you’re looking to mix it up!
Wears a neutral matte everyday in New Jersey/ Boston. My go to is the NYC soft matte lip cream (Rome or Cannes) but also like the tarteist lip paint
Dose of colors! Stone and truffle are perfect natural colors for work
Mattes are fine, and some lipstick > no lipstick. Always remember this.
I wear matte lips every day. Kat Von D ($20). But they’re thin. Long lasting. No transfer. And doesn’t flake off. I hear color pop is good though it’s like less than $5 and they sell at Sephora now
Oh ok. Thought there was some sort of negative stigma associated with matte lips that I wasn’t aware of and started questioning things
That's what I'm thinking! Where's the managers at? I'm 25 so feel like it's okay and professional if it's more on the neutral side but then I bet if you were maybe in LA or something fashion/colors is more widely accepted.
I prefer Browns and darker colors and am wondering if people ever had a say in that. Didn't think about it til now, I mostly wear mattes. Typically the NYX suedes and colorpop but they do smudge and transfer. I started getting into alittle gloss (just think I look like a child with gloss on lol) but interested to hear what you ladies like.
COLOURPOP!
Colorpop ($6) and Huda ($20) are great! Kat Von D’s Lolita is my go to for matte daily wear but it’s a bit drying so use Vaseline or a primer before the lip stain
