PwC what’s the deal with senior manager and then director titles which compared to EY/D&T is just a senior manager? Does the fact there are 2 essentially “senior manager” equivalents impact the manager role/responsibilities or dilute the manager role?
For those of you that left or interviewed for a program manager position in tech (faang or non-faang), what TC were you offered? Trying to evaluate an offer.
Resume gap: My position will be abruptly end in December (was informed this week). However, I won't be interview ready in the next 2 weeks. So how bad does a gap of 1-2 months appear to tech recruiters? Common knowledge is it is a disadvantage to the candidate from a salary negotiation process. I'm also told hiring decisions at places like AWS & GCP take time and it might be a few months before an offer letter is received.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Anyone knows what level is 'Operation and Logistics Manager' in UBER? I might be interested in a Product Manager role. Not sure operations is where i want to go!
Anyone know anything about Artisan Healthcare Consulting? Had a 4 hour final round interview with them almost two months ago and thought it went great but they’ve ghosted me since then.
Currently have 5 YOE in IT advisory at big 4, looking to exit to tech. Any recommendations for potential roles to take given experience is not heavily in tech? Have any other former big 4 alumni found the switch to be difficult?
Interviewing with a small internal strat team (currently 3 FTEs) led by the CSO. One VP was awesome, Ex MBB really energetic/excited is with 1.5 yrs in tenure. Then interviewed with the other VP and Manager. They weren’t great, overall not quite at the same level as the VP in terms of professionalism and pedigree. They were very tactical and felt more like middle managers without vision. The latter two seem to have grown up in the company (3-4 years)
Is the interview process to get into IBD harder or easier than top consulting firms like BCG/McKinsey/Bain? Where do the truly smart people work nowadays?
So I’m sure I’m going to word this question/thought/feeling incorrectly so bear with me...but I am a person who has so much passion and energy (not a millennial - so using the term loosely) for their company, however not my role. I’ve applied to several internal positions both above and even below my pay-grade but am always met with rejection and it’s causing my spirit to decline. Should I be taking this as a sign I am not valued at my organization?
Analyst currently doing Function design work, no real developer experience. I’m gearing towards a Solution Architect certification in the hopes that it can open up an easier role shift in maybe a few months. Is it likely this will be an effective strategy? Are the AWS certs looked at as legit?
Management consulting vs strategy consulting vs data analytics vs audit . How would you rank each of the following and why in terms of exit opportunities and potential salary?
Thank you notes after an interview with ECD / GCD / whoever the final decision maker is - are these done still? Haven't interviewed in a long time and unsure of it's still important (I'm freelance).
I start a new job as VP of Accounting for a F1,000 company. I will have a team of 8. What are some questions I should ask my boss about the team so I can be a good leader? Such as years with the company and in current role, historical performance reviews, special scheduling needs, overall pulse on morale, etc.
Should I apply for a job KPMG forensics(associate level) after 2 years audit experience? Have CPA but not CFE. Thoughts?

What are starting bonuses like at the manager level at big 4 strategy? Having a hard time finding info on this…. Do forms typically forego starting bonuses at that level and index more towards performance bonuses?
Likely going to move to Chicago or NYC next summer (will have 3 years tax experience by then) What can I expect my salary to be if I’m going to Big 4?
Hey SF @salesforce folks 👋 wondering if anyone can weigh in on an offer I received for Bay Area and whether I can/should push for more. Role is senior manager in biz ops/strategy. 190k base, $65k RSUs over 4 years, bonus non-negotiable at 15% and no sign-on bonus. Thanks in advance!

Sources or references available on operating model/business processes specific to health plans (for example: sales and marketing, provider management)?
Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
Hey teachers! Have any of you ever used the program Transmath? It is a math program for secondary students. I am a high school inclusion special education teacher, and this year I am teaching a math class for some of my students using this program. I would love to hear if any of you have used it before and what it looks like in your classroom! Thank you!
