Is it bad not to feel guilty in looking for another job due to the way they treat you and the pay rate.

Guilt implies you’re doing something wrong. Please smack whoever taught you that a job is something that cannot be changed for any reason.

What is wrong with you people ? I am doing that all the time!!

Of course not. Otherwise, no one would ever leave any job.

You shouldn’t feel guilty looking even if they pay and treat you well. The company will manage without you.

Been at my current job for 3 months. I thoroughly enjoy it so far. I still plan on throwing out applications and taking interviews. How else can you know your value as an employee and have leverage at raise/promotion time. Kinda like you don’t wait until you need a car to start looking for a new one. Just be professional about it. Dont do it on company time or with company resources. Nothing wrong with looking around.

Your employer isn’t treating you well or paying you well, and if it made sense for them you better believe they’d try to replace you, so no shame in trying to replace them if it’s not making sense for you.

It’s just business, nothing personnel

Thank you . For your response I'm glad that Ii can move on

They would post your job online two days after you die. We are overall very replaceable to employers, and they should be just as replaceable to us.

Which I expect two of employees passed away within a month period and they were looking for replacement

Well thank you .. I was feeling guilty in submitting applications. During my vacation week and giving them only a month to find replacement. Not sure how would they take it. But enough is enough.

The owners/managers of your companies would feel zero guilt in laying your asses off to save a buck. Blows my mind that people feel loyalty to a company these days. It is NOT. RECIPROCATED.

I have worked 21 years for same CPA firm who has consistently given me smaller raises and bonuses than other staff. I finally had enough this year at my review and was told "you're just admin, you can't expect us to treat you the same as tax staff". That was it. I told them I'm tired of having to fight for my value after working my ass off for you all these years. AND they received over 130k in PPP loans all forgiven but instead of using that to reward employees who worked all thru covid they feel they deserve it for themselves as "they work hard to run this business". EMPLOYERS DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU.

like

That's how I'm feeling i signed up just for one position yet I'm being pushed into so many direction but not paid for it. Take care of everyone else a no thank you , nor a oh you need help

Thank you

It looks like I will be making the right decision in finding a better paying job within in my experience , somewhere that I can be appreciated of what I put in the table.

No. This is normal. Your reaction is totally valid, Op!

No. Never

Hello,

I joined TCS in Oct 2021. I am the only member supporting to client for that particular domain. I mean I work as contractor for client like their team member as full control is with client and full transition for that domain is not with TCs love ke other domains for the same client.

Hence there is less learning as i work in Ist shift(US project). I am frustrated as in my previous companies i used to get more learning and work.

Please suggest if I should wait for some more months.
