Bench count in NY FS? Is it just me?
PwC FS NY bench poll. Senior hand raise.
On the bench 😊
Wrapping up my first and prob last yr with D just because I’ve been on the bench for 2 months and expect the axe any day now so thought this would be the perfect time to share how it all went. Coming in with a technical background to a “cyber risk” role I was expecting work that would need at least a basic understanding of tech related concepts like IoT, machine learning, cyber security best practices, etc and an ability to explain those concepts with rapport to business people from diff fields.
Are consulting firms hiring too many people? Feel like there’s a lot of people not staffed / on the bench.
any advice on how to handle a project when you know it's total bs work and there's no change in sight? Just grin and bear it for months or actively try to get rolled off?
On the bench this week which I guess is nice but I just know I’m gonna go nuts this week. Too easy to just sit on the couch and watch TV and eat like garbage. Doesn’t help that the weather stinks
This weekend I built a quarantine area on our balcony, with a camping tent, a table/bench and a hammock. My kids thought this was great and moved into the tent. At least the apartment is quiet now. 🤷🏻♀️
About to be rolled off a project and need to begin looking for a new one. How much control do I have in saying I want less travel?
I’m assigned to do project work but on beach/bench code... The hours are crazy. Not sure how to handle this situation...
Is it better to sit go on bench or do a role that I am not really interested in my current engagement? Current engagement has high visibility. Spent a few months and have a decent rapport built.
Anyone in the SoCal region looking for an Analyst in Accenture ? Please let me know, the bench is extremely boring
Has anyone rolled off a project to take vacation because the client didn’t approve the time off?
It’s the discipline - the secret behind 100’s of Indian American companies is now automated and reduced to 1 hr a day job: 1. Post content, trainings to attract a candidate to your Bench 2. Share bench to other recruiters and clients 3. Connect with chat and close contract
Starting week 3 at PwC and I’m still on the bench. I’m networking and doing trainings to fill time but honestly not pushing *that* hard for a project… just enjoying the calm before the storm. What’s the longest you’ve waited before you were assigned your first engagement at a firm?
I applied to a smaller firm and their application asks if I can contact my present employer at this time. I haven’t told anyone I’m considering leaving but wouldn’t it look bad to say no?
