What yearly raise and bonus do you expect with 1 or/and 2 rating, consultant level at D ..
Im currently at 70K and due for promotion. Is 95K too much to expect when being promoted to Account Supervisor internally? (FYI it’s Pharma)
Same responsibilities, higher expectations, and lower pay than my peer group but I’m told that I’m the future... Not sure how to approach ... should I raise with HR or my boss?
Any single moms who raised boys? My first kid, I grew up as an only child with no brother, and really clueless as to how to raise a boy. I’d have an easier time with a girl since I kinda know how
Do I take this offer for 100% raise? Knowing I may slip in to depression. I’m the happiest I’ve been in the last 2-4 years. My only complaint is my current role is boring but (cont)...
Thoughts on giving yourself a promotion to a CD when you start freelancing if you where long due for a promotion anyway?
I was asked to take on formal supervisor duties without a promotion or raise for at least 1 year. Tips on how to negotiate this?
Anyone recently internally transfer from audit to FDD? Just made Senior and haven’t gotten my raise yet so curious what transfers get, I’m sure it’ll be way less than external hires but the anticipation is killing me.
Has anyone at Deloitte gotten a mid-year promotion because year end was underwhelming due to being at top end of pay band two years in a row? C to SC
What is the path to a GC for a senior associate on a TN? I’ve been with my firm since college (2 years) - firm policy is that they initiate the process after a two year tenure (and provided you are senior associate rank, at minimum). Will I be able to pass the PERM evaluation? If not, would things get easier with a subsequent promotion? Or would it be best to lateral to a new firm and start the process there? Sorry, super green when it comes to this
Gah I secretly hate work events that are "casual" dress (in this case chicago promotion day) I never know what to wear. Why can't everything just be business casual it keeps things simple 😬
Prepping to ask for a raise as a female strategist in Toronto with 8 years industry experience. Making $85K with decent benefits and vacation. Any suggestions on what to ask for and how to ask?
I work at a mid tier firm in an audit group of ~20 people. We’ve recently had two seniors and a manager leave, and I just found out another senior with a ton of big jobs is leaving in three weeks. I also just found out I’m being promoted to senior with a raise of 10%. In light of all these departures though, I kind of want to ask for more.... should I? And what % raise is appropriate? Any insight appreciated!
Hi Ladies, What are some ways you’ve positioned yourself to obtain a promotion? Just looking for examples if you have any❤️
UPDATE FROM PREVIOUS POST: I was offered a ~10% jump to go from B4 to top 10 acct firm transaction services with no signing bonus. Tf? The jump doesn’t include my B4 raise coming in like a month. So basically no jump considering everything and no signing bonus to go from audit to FDD. Kinda disappointed but oh well can always keep auditing.. is it even worth trying to negotiate up? I was hoping for at least 20% increase on top of my upcoming raise
Offered $50k FT Jr AD (Chicago) after freelancing @Leo for 1yr. I know FT is less $ but is a 15k cut the norm? I understand there's been a raise freeze for a couple years.
General question: If you get laid off from a job, and have ~6 month’s of expenses saved, would you simply focus on getting a new job, or getting a new job that pays more? Should you ever take a pay cut, especially in times like these?
Some intern really messed up 😤
Is there any protocol if your client on an active matter (and you feel like you've done good work) posted an open in house position you're qualified for? Interested but I don't want to burn the bridge on either side if counsel's feelings aren't reciprocated.
My company is sub on my project and the prime are, to put it delicately, extremely frustrating. Advice?
How did you get an interview at MBB? Referral or online application? Or maybe contacting the recruiter on LinkedIn? I’m with 2YOE in healthcare/analytics consulting. Recently looking to move forward to MBB. Appreciate any suggestion!
Heading into an interview with a current NFT hotshot company and feeling both excited and out of my depth. The isolation of WFH during the pandemic has certainly eroded my confidence and even though I’m certain I can tackle any role with the proper support of peers and upper leadership, I’m struggling with these intros. - How do you convey competence during brief (20min or less) video calls? - In what ways do you feel you’re able to show your personality, humility, and enthusiasm for the role?
Quick vent: I really hate when people aren’t inclusive! I invite my roommate out all the time with my friends and we have a great time. I haven’t received a single invite back. She definitely has more friends than I do in the area so it would help me out a lot to be invited & included to form a friend group. I even tried to invite myself and still no inclusion. Ugh.
We had to return to the office last week. The partner in the office next to me never closes his door, takes every call on speaker phone, does depositions on speaker phone, yelling and with the door wide open. I keep my door closed. I have in-ear plugs in and noise cancelling Bose headphones over it AND STILL CANNOT BLOCK IT OUT. My dictations are picking up his voice nearly as loud as my own. I cannot get things done and end up not billing what I should just to end up having to make up the time
55K / 10 years experience (5 in-house / 5 agency) / F / New England One thing lead to another and I’m 3 years overdue for a pay raise and title bump. Will I ever catch up?
Hey ladies! If you’re a technology consultant right now at Accenture how much do you make? I’m having an interview soon and want to know what to ask for. Thanks!
I’m good at my work, not good at being a Consultant. Too busy with hands on work & trends to schmooze and build relationships. Sometimes i feel left out of the “culture” and unsure of my place.
Anyone modeled how much you save on daily/monthly expenses annually? Eg less gas, paid lunches, no gym, phone fees, free vacations thru of points. As a fam guy my est is it’s $5-$10k/year. > if single
Have been with big D for 2 years. Got an offer to a company I hold of high value for an 'internship' with potential to full time. Really on the fence. Anyone done something similar before?
Let's say I have 100k invested in a SaaS startup that went public. I'm 28, employed, have another 35k invested in ETFs/dozen other stocks and have maxed out my 401k and roth contributions. I'm bullish on the startup for the long term. Would you: 1) Recoup your initial investment pre-IPO and let the rest ride 2) Sell the full 100k, pay capital gains tax, and diversify 3) A mix of both, and if so what allocation
Can we get more information regarding ET layoffs? I don't think we have enough info here, need more. Have friends at EY, concerned for them.
About to take an offer at EY. Want a baby soon and saw the great news about increased parental leave. Question is, can u use vacation time consecutively with it? Right now most on leave take 5 months
Delta Platinum today ✨🌟
Anyone currently at the Chartis group willing to chat? Hoping to learn more about the projects, culture, etc. Thanks!
Do Big 4 give more time to settle down in the new job compared to a mid size? Does it work the same way when people are asked to improve before the firing i.e, big 4 gives more time to improve?
