I always prefer to have a lower basic rather than flexible pay. It results in much stress for me to know what to rely on, but this is a personality issue for me as much as anything else. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I understand your question entirely in terms of the details, but I hope someone can address those more.
I am also slightly confused as to what you are requesting. Is there any way for you to rephrase the question more specifically? Much appreciated and apologies. If you are a high-performer flexible pay can be better and more motivating.
My question is related to the salary structure which has two parts, one is basic and other is the flexible pay which includes , hra, lta medical, transport etc. So is basic is less comparative to flexi part. What is the advantage and disadvantage
Less basic means less PF (employee + employer pf 12% each) (not good)
More basic means less HRA tax claim (not good but ok comparing to other points relatively)
Less basic means less leave encashment as basic plays important component in that (not good)
scenario:1 (30% basic)
Pf: 24% of basic (employee + employer)
7.2% of CTC (30% X 24%)
scenario:2 (40% basic)
Pf: 24% of basic (employee + employer)
9.6% of CTC
I feel, more basic salary it's better
