Out of curiosity how is the A/E role at AT&T? I had a recruiter reach out from their recruiting companies for the Sales Executive Fiber position. Is it worth going after?

To answer your question nothing is wrong with leaving any company for more pay and a better work life balance.

Experian, qualtrics among others. Don’t get me wrong, there were multiple offers that were only in the 80-90 base range with coMission that I had to turn down but some companies were offering huge raises.

Nope that’s the best way to get a salary boost - while maintaining the same level. A mentor once told me that. Lateral moves are your best friend

Yes, the pay difference is a good reason for doing so.

No it’s good! Go for the the coin!!!!

If you’re moving for an increase in base then yea that’s a bad idea. If you’re moving to a better comp pay out structure or a better industry that makes sense.

Damn really good advice. Thank you

If your moving to T-Mobile I would ask around… I’m not at that level yet but the work life balance is brutal with T-Mobile in any management/multi unit roll.

like

T-Mobile hasn’t been cutting the B2B sales account executives, they’re growing them

I would think so but also would like more of a seniority role but think I may need a tad more experience for that. Also worried that starting at a new company I’ll drop to bottom of list for something like that

The verticals program is also why ppl leave. Think about it, you have BDRs in the verticals who work maybe 2-4 hours a day and can bank 10-12K coMission checks. Then you get “promoted” get a lot more responsibility and make a heck of a lot less money. It’s baffling that they create the BDR role for verticals. Ppl graduate from it and just leave for Salesforce, Gartner, etc. it’s setting their investments up to fail

Is it a Geographic change at all?

Not really, CA is damn expensive, so you might actually be losing purchasing power

Go for it! It’s a hot market, take advantage of it!

I would it but definitely consider the consequences for your career in the long run.

I joined a new role in Q4 of last year. It has been great I am doing very well, with solid impact etc. however, I am realizing the culture is intense, lot of work, some travel and need to go onsite. I think I asked for less money. Since when I joined market has adjusted, inflation has gone up. Given these scenarios how do I ask for pay raise? Not necessarily need higher responsibility. This company is based in CA but I joined remote. Would CA law to disclose salary apply here? I like job pple
