Is it better to be a high performer or an average performer in Deals? I just started working and am conflicted because I don’t want to burn out but i also don’t want to be on the bench.

Average if you don't want to burn out

Depends on your goals I guess? It’s better to be a high performer obviously in general haha

Different question: Any advice on how to build a large network when starting remotely? Not a shy person but I’m very cautious of other people’s time.

It’s also natural for me to be hard on myself and to seek a higher up’s approval so I (would like to think that) gravitate towards being a high performer. I’m trying to learn how to set boundaries because I don’t want this job to be my life.

Be good at your job and learn when to say no.

Good luck getting that right now. If you are average right now that’s the place to be as can hide. If you are a top performer will always be staffed

3s get degrees

funny

In general: I'd much rather be an average performer, work and be under the leadership of smart people and always learn from them. I'd take the paycut (whatever the difference is between top and avg performers) and have a balanced lifestyle (not too in demand). The strategy has worked for me so far.

Agree with EY1..more important is to have a backbone and be able to say no or be vocal about personal commitments (i.e., going to the gym). I would block your calendar for an hour each day when you want to work out.

push hard right before and right after promotions, cruise in between

For those of you who went audit to FDD - do you think eating time is more or less of a thing than what you experienced in audit. Personally - I feel like I eat way more time in FDD and get so aggravated when my utilization is around 100% and the firm makes it seem like I’m working 9-5 every day. I know it’s my own fault but given the increased billing rates and overall unpredictability in schedule just curious as to others experiences.

The whole point of me switching career to obtain an IT degree is to be able to work remotely. I am currently working on a cybersecurity degree but my school also has a degree for cloud computing with 6 more cloud related certs. Don’t know if I should switch majors. The things that matter the most to me are the ability to work remotely, Pay, stress level , if I need to work on weekends( or wake up early to accommodate clients from another time zone) .

Hello Everyone I want to know the work life balance in LTI. I've heard that the culture is like BPO you've to spend 9 hours in the office even if your work is completed. They are very much strict about timings. If you're login time is 10 it should be 10 if you login at 10:15 you need manager approval. The projects are also of supports? I'm selected as Java developer in Lymbyc(LYM) Bu. Please it would be really helpful if you guys give me some insight especially Larsen & Toubro Infotech L&T Techn

Does anyone at Accenture know if it’s common to be on bench for a really long time? Some colleagues started in the fall of 2021 have yet to be staffed and they keep saying not to worry but it’s been a while… this is for TDP.

Hi Fishes,
Need some positive suggestions.

I'm a data analyst(SQL, Python, ETL, Viz) with 6.5yrs exp at LTI(1 Month exp).
I left PWC AC after 6 months of joining because of the nature of dabba work I was getting(80% testing/documentation, 20% technical). Worked for 12+ hrs everyday and wanted to have some wlb.

Now in LTI, life is too peaceful and there's no technical work in current project. I'm getting thoughts like I'm wasting my skills by taking less tech projects at this stage of career.
