Is it better to get a low deductible health care plan if taking two or more medications and therapy? Otherwise healthy 31/M

I think it depends on if one of the medications is Adderall. I’m not optimistic that the shortage for the generic will be resolved in my area in the next year.

You should check to see how much you will pay for your medication prior to the deductible being met. There should be claims available on your account that show how much the pharmacy bills the insurance company for your medication. These amounts are negotiated by the insurance company and they differ between insurance companies.

- ADHD is a disability, but it’s not the end of the world
- give yourself a break. Your brain needs it more than you realize
- medication is not a cure-all treatment. Medication + diet + exercise + self-organization is the key.
- ADHD causes us to feel emotions stronger than the average person.
- failure is inevitable, but so is success. Act accordingly, and be kind and fair to yourself

Do you think that I could make the point that as a 22 year old, I plan to be on my parents insurance for the next 4 years until I can’t be anymore, to negotiate a higher salary? I’m not costing the company insurance, so they can afford to pay me more is my reasoning. Am I crazy or does this have some substance behind it and how would I even start that conversation? Any advice appreciated. I make 56k now, looking to be around 60

Feel like I was lied to when interviewing at my current agency. I was very honest how important work life balance is to me due to health issues. I’m only two months in & working 55-60 hours a week, having to sign it at 10pm for reports. Every account seems to be like this. How much of a red flag is it if I already start looking for new jobs? I really wanted to make it work, but so can’t do this. I’m in Pharma PR, fwiw.

I realized I don’t have any friends.

All my friends were just people I drank with and we would either get hammered or not talk about anything with substance.

I turned 30 in January and don’t really drink anymore, hence why I’m realizing all this. It’s harder to make friends than it is to find a girl to date, which I find really strange. I’ve never been in this situation before and it’s been kind of depressing.

First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. Appreciate any advice!
