I prefer two phones. One business and one personal. Also easier when you leave the firm and don’t have to worry about porting your phone back into your own personal plan.

Not sure how good the service for mint mobile is but they have unlimited talk, text and data for $30 a month.
Prefer having two for a couple of reasons. Especially now that we have no land lines (only cell #s) it means clients don’t have my personal number. Very easy to check out at the end of the day- I have my work phone just sitting in my home office at the moment. And also- if I lose one I can call it with the other one 😜
Ah yes! That’s definitely a consideration. I’m still on a family plan with a pretty good rate when you split it up.
I just put all my work apps, including Outlook, in a separate app folder

RSM 2 I think you should. I have a couple pay site memberships. Stuff is grade A.
Two. Definitely. Do you really want your employee to have possibly access to your private messages and photos?! No, no, and hell noooo.
Highly recommend keeping personal phone separate from work. The Firm owns every keystroke on your work phone. They don’t want to see your personal stuff and you don’t want them to either.
Prefer to have only a personal phone that is used for work also and a cell allowance from work.
I have one phone and found it difficult to disconnect. However, I turned off all notifications and badge icons (so no red circles staring at me) on the work stuff and that makes it easier. I can check if I want but it’s not constantly reminding me. I don’t want to carry two phones so i wouldn’t get a 2nd one. Not worried about remote erase because I regularly back up my photos and contacts to the cloud and everything else is just apps that can be re-downloaded
U should keep two phones! The firm owns the information on your work phone, and they can make u turn your phone over at anytime. I have heard stories.
You also give them the right to reset your phone.. Personally not a fan of that
When i bought my newest phone (personal reasons), i took my old phone and leveraged that as my work phone. It doesn't have its own cell service - so I'm only paying a cell plan for my personal phone. It connects to Wi-Fi, and if clients need to call me, they call a google voice number i setup.
I would recommend a second phone, as it really does help with work/life balance. You can easily choose to stay away from work by simply not bringing your second phone with you
Samsung here, i can turn off my work profile whenever 🤷🏻♂️
That feature alone is not worth switching. Historically, Apple has had inferior cameras (don't know about the 11), but far better battery life bc Apple's CPU is far more energy efficient.
From someone who has the Galaxy for personal and iPhone for business.
One for sure. I’m a simple person, so it just depends on how you operate. I do better with fewer things. All of my work apps are in one folder, so it works well for me.
I am the same way! Don’t really want to carry around two phones with me everywhere I go. I just don’t like that they don’t have to give me back my number if I leave.

I have one phone. Absolutely hated carrying two around. Almost no regrets
I wasn’t comfortable with my employer having that level of access to my personal device. I chose to have my iPad as my managed device so I still have access to everything on the go. I can always use my iPhone as a hotspot if needed.
I have just one, it literally hurts me when I think of paying for another $50+ a month for a second phone. When I quit it was a pretty easy process, just needed to back up my phone to iCloud and restore it on the new phone I bought, no different than upgrading the phone every two years with delitte. I mean yes the firm technically has the right to read everything on your phone, but of course not stuff like passwords. I mean I would have considered a personal phone if I were to commit fraud, but otherwise I find it hard to believe the firm will pay people to constantly read our phone content from the background about my constant bitching about the firm or how I want to quit everyday.
It’s the price of dinner once a month. Have a personal phone, you’ll be glad you did.
How do you back up only personal stuff to the cloud to download to your new phone? How would the company know you only backed up personal data? Different companies handle work phones differently. There have been instances where they will not cooperate in allowing your number to be ported or allowing any access to phone data.
Best of all worlds was the company where I had a work phone, but they also put exchange on my personal phone and I forwarded calls to my personal phone when I only wanted to carry one phone. When I left it was easy to turn in the work phone and I just deleted the exchange account.
If the risk losing all your contacts, photos, and phone data, possibly having to change your cell number abruptly or having your personal communications examined by the company or for the company’s potential legal issues, wouldn’t be a big deal then save the $40-$50 dollars.
I had two phones for a long time and it got to be a pain in the ass. But now, people think I’m constantly available so I have to screen and force myself to block time away from my phone, just like to do for emails.
Would you go back to having two phones or is it still worth it having one?
I just do one personal phone, don’t put any work apps or email on it, paid for with the firm‘s reimbursement
I have 2 phones because I don't trust them seeing my personal messages or the possibility of mistakenly sending personal messages to a work contact. iPhones don't have a delayed send feature to stop that. 🤷♀️ Plus it's much easier to disconnect at the end of the day and especially for vacations. I turn it off and leave it at home until I return. With one phone, when calls or messages from numbers outside of your contacts come in you'll never know if it's personal or work related.
