Junior associate in a big firm, slowly transitioning to a mid level role. In these slow times, wondering about client development. I know no one is expecting to bring in clients during this pandemic, but any general advice for how young associates can get an impressive and effective head start on business development that could actually lead to new clients? What do firms and clients actually care about (networking in and out of your firm, certifications, speaking engagements, etc)?
Have been offered a role at Mastercard - Associate Managing Consultant. 7 Years of experience. How much base salary and total salary should i expect. Currently being offered around 145k base
I just got laid off from a strategy consulting boutique in the UK that primarily works with PE funds doing CDD/VDD. It goes without saying that the market is terrible. I suspect no strategy firms are hiring and it will need to be an in-house move or if I could stretch it PE/VC. What are people’s thoughts and does anyone have any advice?
When should you exit from consulting? At which level? When you feel how? With how % salary increase?

Haven’t updated my resume since college (internship opps). Now a rising senior in October & not quite sure how to properly update resume... thinking of new exit opps, but have a lot of impostor syndrome... so how do I lift myself in resumes?
Hello London-based writers! I moved here after 9yrs in advertising and want to partner up to find a perm position in one of the top ldn agencies. DM me to chat further 🙋🏻♀️
Need some resume advice. I left my last job after 3 months due to micromanagement from my manager. I started a new job in December and I’m realizing I really want a more technical role. I’ve been a business analyst but I’ve been taking some courses to learn coding and I find it way more enjoyable. I am looking to switch to a different role in the future, but does it look bad to put my 3 month job and my current job on my resume? I’ve worked at previous jobs for 2-3 years.
What are some tips for interview prep? I’m looking for a senior accounting advisory position at b4. Thanks!
Anyone heard of a company called Celonis? A recruiter reached about a customer success manager role but I’ve never heard of the company.
Best consulting firms for PE work (CDD,Value Creation)? Looking for the best firm for exit ops to PE ops eventually. Thanks!
Did an exchange program gap year after college and landed in Deloitte GPS this fall, but thinking about trying to get into MBB because I don't want to do public sector long-term. When would be a good time to apply? Should I wait til I have 1 full year at Deloitte, or does it not matter that I only have a few months under my belt? Went to a target school and should be able to get a referral.
Is there still a hiring freeze at deloitte?

I have a Master's degree in Engineering from a Top School. I really love the work I am doing right now (which is Tech Consulting). Is an MBA really necessary to climb up the ladder?
In a junior role, does it matter if I know anything about the industry of a case I'm staffed on? I've been planning to read up a ton on each case's space, but I'm thinking that may not be an effective use of time.

Joining KPMG as an intern in healthcare advisory practice. Considering that I am in a MHA program (healthcare administration) any way to leverage to receive an offer as a senior associate?
I was fired today. What do I do next? I’m a third year associate at a “boutique” firm. Although I knew my performance wasn’t good and I was on thin ice, I was never given any formal warning, so I was caught off guard when they called me and just fired me, effective immediately. I was locked out of the email and computer system before the call was over, and I’m already off the website. I was so caught off guard I hardly remember the conversation (cont)
Any tips for someone who discounts good feedback but heavily focuses on the opportunities to improve? So much that I have a fear of getting fired despite receiving overall good feedback. I started a new job earlier this year. The function of the role and industry is new to me. My manager told me he generally has higher expectations than the rest of the organization. Originally, I viewed this as a great learning opportunity but can't help to think I'm not cut out for this and fear the worst.
A&M folks, how good (or not) are your health / dental/ vision benefits ? How much are out-of-pocket expenses for families? Also how is the 401(k) match?
Has anyone leveraged an offer at another firm to get a raise at their current firm? If so, were you successful and were there any long term impacts within the current firm because they think you tried to bail? (Getting recruited by other firms for higher TC but enjoy current firm’s project types more.)
