Is it better to leave after a year or 2 of being a senior or immediately after you get promoted?

I left EY after my 3rd busy season (just under 3 years). I have absolutely no regrets. They try to brainwash you with how much better your exit opps are with each year you stay with the firm (should be noted that this is complete BS). Also, depending on which service line you’re in, the longer you stay, the more likely you’ll be pigeonholed. While I learned a great deal working there and it definitely looks good on a resume, I’ve learned exponentially more since leaving, developed substantially more connections and tripled my salary just 3 years later.

like

Same IBA1, this staying until you have a certain level of experience is brainwashing of the highest order. I tripled my salary in just two years by just jumping around. 60 to now getting offers in the 120-140k range. Staying at past positions would literally cost me thousands over time. Everyone should find out their market value every year to make sure that they aren’t getting shafted and being given the run around from their current employer.

If you think public accounting/ consulting is not for you, then leave sooner rather than later. No need to waste any more time there. I left shortly after getting promoted to a senior, one of the best career moves I made.

There is always a way!

I recently got a remote job and I'm living with my parents, I really want to move out but part of me feels like it's not practical to rent right now when I could save up and wait for the real estate market to cool down. However I'm kind of tired of being practical and I just want my own space to live my own life and to have the possibility of maybe bring somebody home at night without having being interrogated by my parents I feel kind of stupid but is it stupid to prioritize that.

Has there been any thoughts about remote employees and finding people that are in the same or a similar profession meeting up in coworking groups? I won't have the option to work in an office with my peers and I find this a real enticing option to be able to meet different people that share a passion, but not necessarily a team or company. I would be excited to get input on what this could look like and where a congregation during working hours could take place or be organized

I am really entertainined by reading articles on CEOs raises compared to average employees salaries. Especially if the articles have quotes from CEOs, it's like they rationalize their 3 million annual increase in double talk and buzz words. Meanwhile, everyone in accounting will be lucky if they get a cost of living adjustment outside of the normal pay increase.

Because of this one diagnostic test, everything is billed as diagnostic. I got 2k medical bills for the visit, preventative tests and the aforementioned test. Is there anything I can do? I talked to insurance and doctor but they wont budge.
