Health insurance will go through the end of the month... just something to consider. I would take the payout, unless I was burnt out and needed a break before hitting the ground running at the new job.
They'll make you leave the same day you give notice
I'd suggest using your PTO and then tell them. Any unused time is paid out (depending on max limits) and treated like a bonus which is taxed heavily.
EY won't allow you to be on vacation while you're on notice. It's in their policy that once you've turned in your notice you can't take PTO while working out the notice period.
OP, if you're leaving for a competitor at any staff level, they'll put you out the same day.
Depends if you're going to a competitor
What if you're going to a competitor?
Pwc1 you still get paid out 2 weeks in addition to any PTO you still had
@PwC1 does that apply for the associate and senior level? I figured that would only matter for Manager and up?
What if you are not leaving to a competitor, but are instead going to a State taxing authority that will likely be pursuing EY's clients for tax collection? Think they will still let you work the two weeks?
