Business valuations/litigation & support associate role at a boutique firm in Toronto:

- $90k base + ~7.5%, annual performance bonus, 4% RRSP matching
- $5k in clawback reimbursement
- will pay all professional fees throughout term of employment (CPA & CBV)

My background:
- SA1 in assurance at B4
- Master of Accounting
- passed CFE, qualify in less than half a year
- level 1-3 of CBV program of studies done
- 24 yrs old

I’m interviewing for a Manager role at PayPal in the product management department and wondering how much of a salary I should ask. I am a woman and POC so I don’t want to fall into the trap of asking for/getting paid less than I’m worth. All insights welcome!!

I’m at the final stage of a series of interviews. Position will be ~$40k increase over my current one. Here’s my dilemma: I was planning on relocating to another city where I own a house because of cost of living here in SoCal. I currently wfh with an infant and the new position doesn’t offer remote work.
The increase in salary will almost certainly translate into putting the baby in daycare and moving into a marginally larger space. Is it even worth it?

I have a question for recruiters regarding background checks. If we are working 2 jobs what does that look like in the background check or in the credit check they do? Is it something that shows up on there? Or does only one job show up? I believe our income and company shows up on our credit reports as well since lenders see that when we apply for like a mortgage but if it only shows one employer name does it combine both income numbers on there as well? Does being a contractor hide this?

When can we expect a world where stereotypes of men and women disappeared and people around you don’t just judge your marriage life? By stereotypes I mean people normally think men have to be the one who mainly financially support the family and people think women feel happy if they have such husband even if she is only a housewife.
