Tech Mahindra Hey guys, I attempted Hackathon by tech Mahindra (for jr java developer 1-3 yr exp). After 3 days I received a call from hr confirming that I have been shortlisted and took hr round on that call. Later I received a document verification mail asking for all essential docs which are required for joining, but didn't received any offer letter yet. When I cross checked mail address with my friend in tech Mahindra, he confirmed that such hr exists with same e-mail id. Is it normal in tech Mahindra?

If you don’t vibe with your manager, it’s not a great gig.
I think you’ve just answered your own question. How long has it been? Maybe you can meet for coffee and tell her that while you appreciate her work style, you’re used to doing things a little more like this: then explain how…then maybe ask her what can I do to help you feel comfortable letting me work more the way I’m used to - or maybe there’s a way we can meet in the middle because when you do this (explain) - although I know it probably gives you more confidence in what’s being done, it makes me feel like you don’t trust me…so how can we both feel good about the process? Because she may just be really diving in just to get grounded and really can’t know how you feel unless you tell her.
Can you switch teams? Or, depending on how new you are to each other, maybe you haven’t had time to get to know each other and establish trust? It’s hard working from afar but maybe once/if you’re in office you can grab coffee or do something to establish a relationship beyond specific projects.
Thanks! You’re right - it’s harder to connect with some than others. I go to the office once in a while but she works fully remote...
Not an option to move internally - department is very small
If she is nice and knowledgeable, the micromanaging probably comes from not knowing you well enough to know how capable you are.
Give her a little time to figure out you can actually deliver without her continuous oversight.
She may also be reviewing your work to become familiar with what the organization expects.
If you like the company, try to move internally.

Are you bring objective? Could you be comparing her with your previous manager and it's showing? Maybe give it a bit of time and work at the new relationship?

I've reported to a micromanager. ☠️ Unfortunately people like that don't change, especially if their habits have been positively reinforced to their current position. Sorry. My previous manager's direct reports all left, no doubt the manager has their own POV on why.
I've seen whole teams leave because of awful managers. Trust your instinct.
